We were there with our son and family for a special day. They had been missionarys in Cambodia for a year and speak Khmer well so were able to communicate with the owners. The food was wonderful and plentiful but they were not ready for a large party. Their " mise en place", was not done. If a restaurant has not prepared there "prep" a head, then they aren't ready to serve guests. However, we enjoyed the wait between courses and the atmosphere was fun. They would be a great business if they hired a manager who new how to train them in restaurant service and preparation, but the food was fab.
The mango salad was beautiful with a slight hint of spice. However if you’re not into spice I would either not include the dressing or remove the Thai basil. Together I would rate the heat a medium, which I quite enjoy with the counter of the mango. Then there was the order of the crab philly. It’s a beautiful little pouch. They’re happy to substitute the sauce with sweet chili if you ask nicely.I will definitely order from them again!
I love their papaya salad and Tom yum... it's so freaking amazing. I love to come ! Makes me so happy and fills my heart with joy to eat this food
My first time here. Ordered the yellow shrimp curry. Was really good. Tasty and lots of curry sauce. Also got the coconut rice which was very good. Had the money bags as an appetizer but I found them dry on the inside so that's why I gave them 4 stars. I would definitely order from there again.
Always fresh and so delicious! My favourite Thai restaurant in NE Edmonton! Highly recommend this hidden gem.
Appetizers were okay, but main dishes were very greasy and sweet, no flavor or spice. Service wasn't great either. Nobody checked our table to see how the food was. No music no TV, complete silence, nobody came into restaurant whole time we were there.. wouldn't recommend and won't be returning.
I visited this place 4 yrs ago and moved back to Edmonton and came back this year again, the price was still the same, taste same!I loved this place, and Im glad I came back to edmonton and be able to visit here again!!!☆
Best Singapore noodles I’ve ever had! The rest of the food we ordered was also very good. My husband really enjoyed the wonton soup and appetizers we ordered. Great service also!
I had read some promising things about this restaurant and wanted to try it while I was in Edmonton...it did not disappoint! I started with the Tom Kha and the moneybags, and both were excellent. The Tom Kha specifically was perfectly balanced, with that coconutty smooth tartness that only a good Tom Kha has. I finished the broth to the last drop, and was glad I asked for it spicy... it wasn't overwhelming, they nailed it. For my main I had the green curry with coconut rice and again it was top-shelf: the coconut rice was plump and well-fluffed without clumping, pleasantly sweet without being cloying. The curry was smooth and rich, with the vegetables perfectly done (still semi-crisp peppers with more well-done carrots and bamboo shoots) and the beef tender and thin-sliced. The rice and the curry really worked well together.I was starting to get full towards the end, but I really wanted to see what else they might have to top it all off, since I was having such a great meal. Only one desert was on offer tonight... a coconut ice cream deepfied with a toasted coconut shell, drizzled with a caramel syrup. It was awesome! I was glad I ordered it.As for the service and such, my waiter was really doing his best. Very friendly and ready to help. Apparently this is a family business and they're really trying to do the best they can, and it really shows.I'd highly recommend that you give this restaurant a shot of you're in Edmonton and at all interested in Thai cuisine. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu myself!
I ordered the cashew stir fry, red curry, money bags and crab Philly. I had high hopes based on the reviews but I was left feeling a little disappointed. This had the potential to be so tasty but there wasn't much flavor in the main dishes, and the fried things tasted like the fryer oil needed to be changed. It was just ok.
