The food was so good that after trying it for the first time my hubby and I came back the next day with the whole family!
Poutine was good, wrap was good. It was super busy at 1 am and had to wait a hot minute, and the bathroom was weird. You had to ask them to unlock it using a button behind the till.?✨️Interesting.✨️?
They were scraping the extra donair meat off the counter and putting it back in the pan, also the onions tasted like they were sitting there for 2 or 3 days I've been back there since, because I live close and further more been disappointed. I honestly do not recommend this place for a good donair
The order taker got my order wrong, I ask for chicken shawarma, I was given a cheese donair, I told the guy making the order that I ask for a chicken shawarma, he remade the order and made a chicken donair, I went back and ask him if he gave me a shawarma or donair, he said it was a chicken shawarma even though he wasn't telling me the truth. Trust is very important in a business . I will like management to review the camera footage and see what happened from 11:45pm
Absolute JOKE, charged me $38 for food, I gave them $60, was only given $1.XX as change and receipt stated I only gave them $40 cash, got scammed $20 by these grease wizards, can’t reason with the grease lord that knows he just scammed me, this place deserves to go out business after what I experienced tonight. Absolute disgrace to Edmonton. I will be posting the video on my social media & YouTube accountDeserves 0 stars, not even worth my time trying to get my cash back, I hope this statement stands out.
Mike's has the best Chicken Shawarma (donair) or Chicken Salad. Tons of fresh produce going on in the meals. This is an authentic experience of middle eastern cuisine plus many western dishes as well. There are plenty of vegetarian options here too. The location is casual dining, perfect for a stop while shopping or walking on Whyte Ave.
Very rude staff. Wouldn’t let any one use bathrooms, between me and my coworkers we spent over 150$ in food and they where being very unprofessional . Horrible customer service. Food thrown together
Donairs are ALWAYS COLD, Poutine is absolute garbage.Gone to the store in person, still cold. Order online, ice cold. Save your money and order from somewhere else.Mike's "Famous" is a complete joke! Absolute waste of money!
Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They refused to allow my friends and I to sit in and warm up for a few seconds in -20 weather unless we ordered something. and of course, we weren't going to do that because the food is overrated and overpriced. We insisted that our ride was right around the corner (which was true), but we were still motioned to leave and wait in the cold, and were treated with extreme unkindness by the staff until we did.
I won't go back. I eat all over Edmonton. 1st- zero covid vax checks by one staff member doing everything during supper rush (cooking/orders/zero cleaning between it all) allowing anyone to dine in so that tells you this place might not be clean. 2nd- I ordered a salisbury burger combo and the onions were under cooked and burger tasted disgusting so obvious rush cooked. 3rd- the fries were ok but standard crispy coated fries you can order anywhere. 4th- way too expensive for substandard food. I am an delivery driver so I see every kitchen and I won't pick up from there now as I only deliver good products. 5th- my burger was served in a styofoam container. That is a huge no as food services should be sustainable, recyclable and it just made my rushed burger a soggy mess of grease that tasted like a grill that hasn't been cleaned.
