Anniversary dinner couldnât have been better! Awesome service, a comfy booth, and amazing food! The host greeted us with a Happy Anniversary and then the waitress dressed up the dessert with Happy Anniversary spelled out on a plate next to the sweets. The place is quiet and spearated into 4 sections with private rooms for those that want an authentic sit on the pillow experience. Very romatic and warm. Now the best part: The food! Beef yakinuku is to die for. The sesame sauce, um, what? That stuff is addictively good! Drip that sauce over the beef and you are in heaven with the taste. Dragon eyes is our staple! Best roll ever! Salmon rolls with a slightly spiced sesame sauce with teriyaki in it, omg! We also had some tasty edamame. Tried the Samon collar meal also and it was divine. It's not for the squeemish since it's got bones, skin, and pectoral fins, but if you are ok with that then the meat melts in your mouth. Add a little of the sesame sauces from the other meals and it's so good. And if that wasn't enough with the Japonese beer we had, we got the 3 mousse dessert. Can I just say wow! Not too sweet and so creamy. They dressed up the plate as I said and that made for a nice "Happy ending" We haven't been to Mikado in 3 years and yet they are still producing some unbelievable food with great service. we always love our visits here!

Took friends from Calgary to Mikado for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of the staff plus the tasty dishes associated with the Bento boxes. Will certainly recommend Mikado.

We felt like the server were rushing us, the moment my friends came to join me she is already there getting the order besides the drinks, came back after a minute or two then we askd for more time and csme back again while we are still browsing the menu. Serving our dishes were not pleasant too, she’s like in a hurry to put it down the table and left. ? Same with clearing the table and paying, we felt being rushed.
We had almost everything on the Blue Fin menu and it was all amazing. Going back for sure! The creamy jalapeño roll outstanding. You should go see for yourself!
Had the Deluxe Bento boxes. The salmon was way over cooked and had an unpleasant taste. Next time will stick to the Sashimi wish was absolutely great
