Heads up to those that have gone to this resturaunt prior to the pandemic, they do not have the same menu anymore, they pivoted to be a Korean Tonkatsu resturaunt. I was a little suprised, but the food ended up being really really good! Great portions, and really loved the katsu! The staff answered many ofy questions, and was really helpful as to how to put everything together. Tho I miss the old Miga, this was a great alternative! Thanks!
Server was kind and amazing. Food was great too, love the kimchi beef udon!
Great time with friends!Enjoy Korean food at a good price.
So good! They revamped their menu to focus mainly on katsu, udon and some select dishes. We've been looking for a place that offers a variety of katsu closer to the south side and Miga did not disappoint! The Miga Special is great if you want to try the different katsu they offer, while I opted for the Rosu and Hire Katsu combo. All of their katsu combos come with rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, cabbage and sesame seeds for you to grind up with your sauce. There is no bell to call staff over so you'll have to wave them down if you need anything, but they were very attentive and even reconfirmed our order with us to make sure it was correct. We also got a side udon with one of the meals which was delicious and the entire meal was quite filling.I can't wait to come back and try the cheese katsu next time!
I went to try their new menu for the first time yesterday. The katsus were very nice. The breading was crispy throughout the dinner and the meat quality was mint. It was about time Edmonton brought in a katsu restaurant.
I've always loved coming to Miga and recently they've focused their menu on katsu, udon, and hot stone bowls!I got the Miga special, which comes with a bit of all the offered Katsu options and I added the mini udon. You're allowed one rice and salad refill with your food too!The portions were good and I was definitely full after eating.
Amazingly crispy cutlets!!! Servers were all kind and fast. My son loved udon and miso soup he finished them all. What I liked about udon most is it is not salty at all. Most udon at restaurants are salty so after eating I had to drink more water but miga’s udon is perfect to me.
Food is not bad, thought they could use more items in their menu. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
Ended up walking out after sitting for a long time without having the chance to order. The call button wasn’t working and servers did not bother bringing water or paying any attention to us. Was super disappointed, don’t really want to visit again if they don’t have basic serving standards.
I love Korean resto for side dishes, bbq’s,fried chicken and bibimbap. Which all of that this resto was lacking. Ordered deep fried chicken 100% clear about that but the lady brought us deep fried chicken with sweet and sour. She keep on existing that’s my order,I just let it slide. Were a large group and expecting a hot pot that’s why were requesting a table with cooking thingy in the middle but our request was not granted and the lady said NO COOKING,EVERYTHING COOK INSIDE weird ‘coz this is not the first time we eat in a korean resto. We request a table like that for a reason ‘coz we want a hotpot means a hot soup right!!! We still ordered, food wasn’t explain that was individual portion I even told her we want to share she still suggest the individual portion. I guess for us to pay more. The food was either bland or salty the bbq’s that was usually tender was so dry and chewy eww. Very dissappointing paid almost $300 for nothing. Will NEVER EVER go back to this place again. I suggest Korean best fried chicken in gateway way better food and price.
