BBQ Brisket ? sandwich. It taste so good. The meat so tender it falls apart. My said he will definitely come back to try again.
Good food: lots of smokey, greasy meat, and their barbecue sauce is unique and complex. Service was not great; we waited half an hour to be served drinks, and when our food came it was packaged to-go even though we were there to dine in. This location gives the impression of only being staffed for takeout and delivery, and would do better to put away their tables and be honest about that.
Got the daily special which is a generous portion. It was pulled pork with the mid special sauce on a soft bun and fries with a Dr. Pepper. It was really good. Also got a piece of pecan pie and some cornbread. They were good. The pie was quite rich and perhaps too sweet which was a personal preference. The gentleman there at the time was friendly and the food came out promptly.I liked the atmosphere of the place. It felt like it was more dinery. Good overall.
Went here for a family dinner/surprise birthday party. I called the day before to make reservations. The experience was so bad! First of all, we had to keep asking the wait staff for more drink refills, and when we finally got our food, the waiter spilt BBQ sauce all over my brand-new dress. The best part was he didn't even bring me anything to clean my dress off with. Thankfully, my brother-in-law grabbed some. papers, and my sister-in-law had wet wipes for her baby. I managed to clean myself up. The food was dry and over-seasoned. We will not be going back here ever again. The food wasn't worth the price and the service even worst. We couldn't even get our table cleared by the staff when having desert they just left everything on our table expecting us to push our stuff aside to make room for our desserts.
First visit . Everything was just delicious. I got a meal with brisket, ribs tips, cold slaw, baked beans, cornbread and fries. My wife Kim got the Smokehouse Chili made withbeef brisket - served with corn bread and corn chips. To start we had Double smoked, farmhouse sausage served with delicious choices of Bbq dipping sauces : mustard or tomato based. The portions are huge! The server and all staff were friendly and very attentive. We will be back for sure. Everything was just awesome!
Excellent BBQ! Had been there before today and had a great experience. Tools a group of friends after a suit fitting. We got the Elvis platter for a group of 6. Everyone left full and said it was fantastic. Even had left overs.
Honestly not sure what the great reviews about this place are about but the quality and the food here was extremely disappointing. Brisket was dry and flavourless. The chicken could have been smoked and seasoned a lot more and was extremely bland and dry. I give this restaraunt one star mainly because the front desk staff were extremely friendly. This is defintley NOT a BBQ restaraunt I would suggest and would recommend cookshack in nisku for a true flavourful and bountiful bbq experience :-)
Food was good, though I would have expected a more pronounced smoke flavour. The pulled pork meal was a very ample serving with sides the corn bread is very good, not too sweet for a change. The BBQ sauce was ok. Service was good. As far as smokehouses go, it's ok.
We stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday around 12:30 and we were the 3rd table of 2 people waiting for food. The very friendly guy (whose name I have forgotten again), who was the only staff at the time, took a bit of time to get the food out but was it ever worth the wait! We had a smoked chicken and a beef brisket sandwiches. It was delicious! We'll definitely do without the bun next time as it was impossible to hold the sandwich together it was full of BBQ goodness. We didn't even use the extra sauces and condiments that were dropped off as the seasoned fries were tasty and the sandwiches didn't need any extra help. Large portion sizes and as I wouldn't waste the BQQ we had to forgo the majority of the fries. The price was higher than nearby fast food and took longer to get but as soon as you smelt and tasted the food, you knew it was worth every penny and the wait. I forgot to take a picture as we dug in as soon as the food hit the table but it looked great and tasted better! If you have the time and love the meat, make sure to stop in.
We went there and it was empty on a Sunday evening which was nice no waiting involved. It was our first time eating there and we we're not disappointed at all. We ordered the Memphis Feast, it was sincerely really good the meat was absolutely amazing. The only thing I wasn't too crazy was the potato salad but to each their own.. The waiter/cook was super nice as well. One thing that I hate about restaurants is when they have a theme but they play music that do not relate to the theme of their restaurant. The playlist they had here was all about Blues and Soul music which made it even more of a great experience! :)
