Very slow service. This is our first time eating in this restaurant and property our last time. We’ve been waiting for our order for 2 hours but the taste of the food is alright. Also there’s some dishes that we want to order that isn’t available.
Nothing beats this restaurant whenever I crave a Filipino dish. Their halo halo is the best.
First off food was good, I won't knock the food. The service is what grinds my gears. To much time to served, barcode menu with no offer for real menu. Didn't have enough menu go go around apparently( restaurant not full).Being ignored when given incorrect number of plates and utensils, Asking 3 times for additional plate and utensils. Refills on water or other beverage none existent. Server or waitress seem to not want to make any kind of eye contact.Just needs to be better plz improve .
Oh dear.... the day has come....This restaurant used to be my favourite restaurant ever(seriously). Would remind me of the Philippines. But unfortunately this restaurant is on a downward spiral. The menu went from having a vast selection of dishes to only 1 page. Some of the portions have gotten smaller (for the same price as the previous larger portion) and even the dishes aren't made correctly anymore. They are using cheaper cuts of meat and are cutting corners when it comes to certain ingredients in dishes. The dishes don't give you that " like nanay used to make it" feeling after eating them. One could use covid as an excuse for this but I don't believe it. This has been slowly going on for the last few years. This restaurant used to be so busy you would have to wait a minimum of 30-45 mins for a table on a good day. Now if you go in the evening there will be maybe 3 tables full (btw this restaurant can hold 200 people easily). I hate to write this review but I hope management reads this and takes action. I wish all the best for this restaurant as its a Pinoy staple but things need to change.
Disappointed with Canada day $29 buffet. Not worth the money you spent. Most trays were empty. Only saw one guy refilling the empty trays. The food was not bad but the servers seemed spread too thin. Had to go up and ask for a drink coz no one was available to come to the table. All this after it took 6 phone càlls to book a reservation. It says to leave a message but the voicemail is full.
Kudos to all the staff of Max’s Edmonton especially to Christian. They are all amazing and services are great. Thank you so much and will definitely see you on my next event. ? God bless you all ?
Went there yesterday, june 27,2022 at lunch time, with my mother in law, theres 5 tables at that time. Since we are not that hungry, we only ordered pork sisig and garlic rice and pepsi. The pepsi is flat, the sisig came out super dry, obviously got reheated few times, no garnish like even green onion, the full order looks like 1/2 order that they spread out in the serving dish to make it looks full. The server just drop off the food without even saying a word, never seen him again untill we pay, no quality check at all. I am a server too so i know what is good service mean. Usually the food here is good, ok service. But this time, its really crappy. Glad we didnt ordered much, i rather spend my money somewhere else. Writing this review here since my reviews yesterday in their website got removed.
Visited during Easter break, service was terrible server took forever to take our order, food was so slow coming, never brought drinks and never checked on us had to go to the back kitchen to find someone to get us our drinks and ketchup, and again when we wanted to pay. Another table came in after us they sat with menu and no service for for 20 minutes. Skipped dessert because there was no service and the new menu is small and food wasn't that good, very pricey too small basket of spring rolls is $15, spaghetti tastes like Jollibee but more money! next time I'll stay home and cook myself!
Food served were cold. lumpiang sariwa served cold. The chopsuey dish too.
This is a hit or miss Filipino dish restaurant. There's this dish that looks like Bistek Tagalog but after tasting, it's tocino with lots of sauce. Which is which, I'm not sure. And they even mixed pork meat in the kare-kare! And there's this that looks like paksiw na lechon, but instead, they use recycled fried chicken. Which is probably unserved overstock fried chicken. Those are in their buffet. Not sure if they do the same in single serve dishes.
