First time coming to Edmonton and wanted to try Persian Food. We called and asked to see if they have soup and he said yes so we drove a long way to get there. The soup we got was veryyyy old and stale and obviously not fresh as you can see in the picture. It tasted like soup that was cooked a week ago. We honestly could not eat it and had to throw it away. We ordered kabab and kashko bademjan which tasted good though. I would advise the owner to increase their standards of food preparation and give the customer fresh food as what they themselves like to eat.UpdateThe owner gave me a call but I did not give him my phone number so I don’t know how he found me, but he accepted the mistake, apologized and kindly offered us a refund which I did not accept. He also asked me to change the review, which I have updated.

It's a great restaurant! I loved all the food that they had and the employees are so nice. The restaurant it self smells so good and the atmosphere makes me feel at home. Would definitely keep coming back and bring friends and family to try it out as well.

Quality of food is excellent. Portions are very generous and the value for the money is unbeatable. Very warm and friendly service as well. They have a grocery section as well and carry many items that they import directly from Iran.

It has been a great family day in their restaurant! The service was great! The food was tasty and I experienced (again) the real Persian taste! In addition, I found the environment reminiscent of Persian culture. The grocery was also affordable.I highly recommend Lotus to Persians and other nationalities who want to try the real Persian food.

Very nice place. Great menu diversity. The food is homemade, fresh and delicious. They also sell Persian/Mediterranean arts and food ingredients, which can be hardly found elsewhere in town. Owners are super nice and prices are reasonable. If you have a taste for the Persian/Middle Eastern vibe, I highly recommend this place to you.

Great value! I miss being able to go in person for a tea, but such is the life of an immunocompromised household during covid. The owner was always very warm and welcoming! The sabzi and fesenjoon are my favorites! So glad we can order delivery. Very, very good value for the quality and portion. Thank you for having affordable, delicious food! It always makes our day better when we eat here :)

Their ash e reshte soup and assortment of specialty teas (which I recommend sitting down for with a nub of crystalized sugar) stands out on the menu. Decent price compared to other contemporary Persian restaurants in this city and above an art studio. It's generally quiet in this small but cozy space and not designed to seat large groups of people for dinner. The decor is authentic Persian with a bookshelf, rugs, and all. The lighting is somewhat dim.I recommend this place as an informal dining area, 1 or 2 people to a table from about 10 am to 5 pm, who want to experience the look and feel of a Persian household.

I came in today for lunch with a friend, what a delightful spot. The owners are wonderfully friendly, inviting and engaging. The service was excellent. We had the Merza-Gsahemi as an appetizer, it was wonderful, a beautiful smokiness in the eggplant. For mains we each had the lamb/beef kebabs. The serving was very generous, I only got about half way through ... but I am going to enjoy the leftover tonight. I had their rose herbal tea and it was delightful. I am soooooo looking forward to returning to once again enjoy the warm and generous hospitality and wonderful food, there are lots of things I want to try ... Thank you

Come here all the time with the girlfriend. Lovely fresh food. The tea is fragrance and warms your body on a cold day. Love the art and love the items in the market that they have and sell. Saffron is real and fresh. Portions are nice and always have left overs. The bread is soft. The staff and family are friendly and amazing.

The food here is fantastic and affordable, and the setting is cozy and beautifully decorated. We had a lovely dinner here… except for the part where the restaurant was filled with some sort of hookah or shisha smoke. It was hazy for the duration of our meal and at times was so strong that my eyes stung. So, five stars for the food, but seriously, maybe don't do this sort of thing when you have customers in the restaurant.
