I love the Italian centre, they have hands down the best deli and their selection of fresh and dry pasta constantly amazes me. Weather I’m swinging by to grab some pizza dough or stocking up, I always have fun finding interesting things to cook with.
Like all of the Italian Centre Shops. Good Selection of Italian delicacies and other European deli products. Great bakery that has all your favorite Italian deserts. One of the best places in Edmonton for Italian groceries.
Ordered 3 trays for a family B-Day from the Southside location. A Pastry tray, Charcuterie and Gourmet cheese board tray. Which we picked up the day of the event and served within a few hours, they were left in their covers and refrigerated until serving. To my disappointment the trays were sub par which you wouldn't expect for the price. Many of the items on each of the trays did not taste fresh, they had an "old fridge" taste.The charcuterie tray was not equally divided with type of meat, at least 50 percent of the meat was the hot soppressata calabrese , not everyone likes hot. Some of the meats were very dried out, like they had been pre-rolled days before so the outside of the roll was dry and chewy.As for the Gourmet cheese tray most of it except for the brie tasted like "old fridge" ...yuck. Some of the cut up chunks of cheese were hard and crusty as if they too were cut many days ahead.The Pastry tray was somewhat fresher, only a few of the cakes tasted old. Not a lot of flaky pasteries. Three 2 inch pieces of chocolate eclairs and three 2 inch pieces of cream horn, the rest of the platter is assorted cakes. So should be renamed an "assorted cake platter" . However the cakes were not cut small enough most were either 2x2 or 2x3 inch squares. Most people want to sample a few different sweets, we had to cut them into 1 inch pieces, which takes time...probably why the Italian centre doesn't do it, they just cut big pieces to save time.Overall, would I order again? NO definitely not! The 18 or so of our guests felt the same way. Not at all fresh, especially considering the price.
Overall, great store and convenient location in ward papastew. Food is fresh, bakery is great and you can stick around for good coffee.Sauces and non perishables are a bit pricier than at a big box retailer, but you get what you pay for!
Friendly and helpful staff, the cake slices are moist, flavourful but not too sweet, and they are huge for the price ($3 each). The pizzeria can get a bit crowded on the weekends. Produce section was well stocked. Definitely one of my favorite places.
Great selection of imported specialty foods from Italy. Staff is extremely knowledgeable ,helpful and motivated, staff really wants to be here, very customer focused. Great hot table and excellent pizza , good size portions and excellent fresh ingredients. Big shout out to Manager, Joe Antonucci

This is our new go to place. Italian food is quite known around the world. We decided to bite the bullet and try cooking some. We were happy with what we came up with. I am sure Italians will disagree, but nevertheless this is for consumption. We go there to try out various sauces to cook meat and veggies in. Oh yes and their chocolates are awesome. Probably the best you can get in a supermarket/ grocery store in Edmonton. It's just worth going there for the chocolates itself.
Love the bakery and sandwiches in this place. The pastries are always a hit. Affordable, welcoming, accommodating and delicious.Stop here for a treat or for a lunch or to do some grocery shopping.
