I went here with my friends to satiate our cravings for Korean food and we were not disappointed! We had the shareable budae jjigae, half a portion of chicken, and tteokbokki and they were amazing. We finished every last bit of our meal and topped it off with Milkis. The place isn't very spacious though, but it didn't really bother us much as we were accomodated just fine. The servers are very helpful and nice. I really appreciate the button on each table that you just need to press when you want something. Kudos to you guys!
I like the design of the restaurant, minimalist with a touch of Korean art, and it's very CLEAN (my children even says that the restaurant is very clean). The service is superb, they are very polite and give a kind and gentle welcome gesture. The foods is presented very well, looks good and appetizing. The fried chicken is a typical Korean fried chicken just like SFC (I am not a fans of Korean fried chicken anywhere, it's too dry for my liking). The seafood platter that we order cost $46 and it has crab, octopus, squid, muscle, shrimp, and rice cake in there (I think it's a bit overpriced). The galbi is yummy but a bit sweet. They have kid's meal which we really appreciate it and the kids love it because there's a candy in it and yummy deep fried chicken / shrimp with fries. Lol.It's a bit overpriced for the food but we Love the service and the experience.
Love it!!. The soups are amazing, one of my favorite dishes on a cold day. The Galbi Tang Beef Short Rib Green Onion soup, blew me away.. Rich in beefy goodness!Pork belly was as equally good, seasoned and full of fatty goodness!!Staff were super friendly!!!
My husband and I ordered bibimbab each. They came with no side dishes. When we inquired, we were told that they are extra. Not even a single piece of kimchi. This is unusual for a Korean restaurant in a very negative way.Used to be one of our favourite places to go to in the Northside. We will drive down to south for Korean food next time. Also, forget about paying $1.50 extra for ground beef in your $15.50 bibimbab that only comes with veggies and an egg. You only get a few tiny pieces of beef. Not worth it.
Small hole-in-the-wall type place, but still with comfortable booths for seating. Everything was delicious. Beer selection a bit limited but they still had the standard “Asian” beers plus a few craft domestic that I hadn’t tried before. The food was delicious. Vegetables were super fresh and meats/noodles cooked just right with the right amount of spice. Will definitely be back.
Food was great, and very reasonable price. I was with couple of friends, we had the hot pot, and with the portion, it is very shareable. Also ordered KFC (Korean Fried Chicken). Awesome meal. Service is good, but I think they are short staffed, as they got busier, we have to call on the waiter few times for the extra broth we asked for because he got side tracked and forgot about it, and same happened for our bill.
The food here is amazing. All of the menu items come as a perfect serving size for one person and is reasonably priced for what you get and their stir fried dishes are great. The service is great and has a nice warm atmosphere. I eat here every week and food quality remains the same everytime. Definitely one of the best Korean restaurants in Edmonton.
I go to Hansik every few weeks and the food is excellent when dining in. However ordering takeout here for when I don’t want to dine in is incredibly disappointing. I ordered the Budae Jjigae and was upset to find there was only ramen, cabbage and some sausages in the broth. Completely missing the beans, kimchi, tofu, ham, and rice cakes that they advertise are in the dish. When you are paying $39 for a meal, you’d expect it would have all the ingredients shown.I don’t think I’ll ever be back again which is unfortunate because it was prepared well when dining in. I guess they just don’t care about their takeout orders.
Absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend for such a welcoming place! The food was all on point, and over the top amazing customer service.
They now charge for side dishes, which wouldn’t be so bad if the portion sizes were worth it, however I feel they are a bit stingy. Pork belly dish came with 3 tiny pieces of radish to eat with, which would not be enough for my partner and I whatsoever. If you request more, they will again charge you more for an extra tiny portion! It’s missing the old authentic Korean experience. Not quite special anymore, and there probably are better Korean restaurants in the city in my opinion.
