The only thing better than the food is the service. This is a MUST go experience. Mmm!
My bf and I come here almost every week mostly because he always craves for kbbq and Ginseng has always been consistent with their food quality. I love the seafood and meat variations they offer although I miss the squids. And I just wish they don’t charge for karaoke use anymore when you dine in.
Great value here to get your all you can eat meat fix. Plenty of options from chicken, beef, pork, mussels and shrimp, spicy and non spicy. Quality of the meat is not bad but I did have to spit out a lot of gristle. Burners are swapped out frequently which is great since most of the marinades burn quickly leaving a lot of charred residue. Free soda refills at the self serve machine was a nice bonus. This place is busy so get here early if you want to find parking close by. It was a struggle to waddle back to the car.
Well., I call at noon on Saturday that just passed March26/22 and I asked whoever answered the phone would I need to make reservations for that evening at 530-6pm and the answer was "Nooooo you come and get seated right away" so with a very hungry family of 4 we made our trip to that location from Sherwoodpark so excited to dine there . Walked through the front door and was greeted and I ask for a table for 4 and I and my hungry family were extremely mad at the answer that we received. " have to wait an hour" I said I called earlier and and was told there was no wait time . " sorry you have to wait an hour" well not COOL! Your people should be more clear on taking reservations and telling the people who phone the truth. I am not sure if we will ever go there again unless this situation get solved.
Great food great service. Cooking your own food going out has a special touch to enjoying your self on days where you want to cook but don’t want to clean. The meats tenderness and flavour were succulent. The drinks were enjoyable. 5/5 Lenko scale 5/5 for all
First time at Ginseng restaurant the other day with some friends for a birthday. Personally I’m a huge fan of Korean BBQ so I was super excited to check them out! Ginseng did not disappoint! The food and selection was fantastic and all the staff we dealt with were a lot of fun! The prices overall we’re actually fairly low and we will forsure be coming back!
Food was good and service was okay. It kinda bothered my mother that the top surfaces are noticeably dusty/oily, while the floor is sticky and oily, other than that it was good
No Karbi, food had very little flavour and selection was certainly wanting for options. Kimchi devoid of spice and sourness, meat tasted like it was tossed in marinade for all of 20 minutes. Held out hope for the "Premium Sirloin", which was as flavourful as one could describe a LaCroix or White Claw. I have never had korean food that I felt was deserving of 1 star. Very baffled since most google reviews seem to rave about it's quality, but absolutely not worth the price point of $37.First time I left an all you can eat place hungry.
I was really excited for this first time experience, but was sorely disappointed by the lack of Karbi (Galbi) and distinct lack of flavour. What should have been bold, intense flavours were muted or lacking in the meats and the limited menu left much to be desired.
All you can eat at $37.99 per person including drink ( Fountain pop ) for Korean Barbecue.Plenty of space for everyone. Good line of food. Start from steam rice, fried rice.Kimchi , bean sprouts sesame salad, pickle radish. Seaweed soup , kimchi soup.Line of marinated meat ; pork belly slices, pork shoulder slices, chicken, beef , lamb.Seafood : shrimp(unpeeled) and New Zealand mussels.Plenty of mushrooms, onions, zucchini to be grillService very attentive.They also have karaoke rooms as well.Overall great experience.
