June 14, 2022Came here for a quick beverage after the work day. Never been here before and wanted to try it out. I was super impressed by the look and feel . It really had a nice clean pub look. I was not expecting that at all. Really nice ambiance. The special today was a steak sandwich for $17. We weren't looking to eat but decided to share a wing platter. The platter was $27 and had 2 lbs of very meaty wings. You can ask for up to 3 flavors on them. If you like crispy wings, I'd ask for double cooked. It included waffle fries, carrot sticks, ranch and another Cajun type sauce. They told us Wednesday is half price wing nite. I think also with Karaoke. Some beer special. Today thier 450ml cans of craft beer were $6.50. They are made in Alberta. The ones we tried were so good. Very much on par if you like the beers at the Sugarbowl by the University of Alberta. They have 12 to choose from. Some are on the menu and the rest you can find at the bar. So ask your server. I would come back here just for the beer. If you like Hooegarden beer, try The Wolfe. It was fantastic. The rest of the food on the menu looks pretty fantastic. This restaurant/ pub is a nice little gem.

I ate here last night by myself and the customer service was exceptional, as a former waitress/bartender/manager- customer service, food quality, atmosphere and friendliness is very important to me. Amanda, my waitress was a true gem, the owner even stopped by my table to chat and make sure all was good. The food was delicious, too. I will definitely be going back. Highly recommend going there if you haven’t been there yet. 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
We just had the mushroom burger from Cork & Barley delivered to our home. The food is fresh and taste was amazing. The burger you can tell is pure beef no fillers. I am always impressed with the food.Thank you for making such a great lunch for me.Irene Bosch
Great place! The staff is amazing -friendly, happy and very efficient! The food is delish! Highly recommend Cork and Barley as a place to catch up with friends or cheer on your favourite team.
So glad to see this restaurant open again. The food is great if you like beef in it's various forms,ground,burger,steak,roast. They do Yorkshire pudding. But they have other dishes. As a British expat I never get beyond the roast beef. My only issue is I can't take the grandkids here because it's a pub but they are also available on skip the dishes.
Been meaning to get here for a while and I’m glad I came because the food and service was great. My wife and I really enjoyed our visit here. Our server was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is great and a real pub like feel. The washroom is clean. My wife and I enjoyed the wing platter with the waffle fries. The food was served hot and tasty. We definitely recommend coming here and we will come again.
Had an amazing dinner here, the food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. Brittany and Barb served us well and gave us some laughs. Definitely recommend going and will also be returning soon!!!
Edit: We were so excited to see this place open again! We got take out yesterday and loved it so much, we decided to go there for lunch today. (Thanks for the note in our take-out, we love you too! ?) The restaurant definitely has a charming British pub atmosphere. It’s amazingly clean and everything looks great inside. The server was super friendly, with just the right amount of checking in on us. The booths are super comfy and they have the right amount of TVs for watching sports. Not too many, not too few! We ordered the steak sammy and the bangers and mash. Both entrees were sooo good. They came very quickly too. The steak was great, cooked perfectly to order and seasoned well. The bangers and mash looked like the ultimate comfort food dish. Mashed potatoes, bangers, onions and peas all swimming around in delicious beef gravy. Check out my photo, you’ll be dying to eat it on a snowy day like today! This place is a gem in Clareview. I really hope more people check this place out so it always stays in business! Definitely the best restaurant in the area.Original review: Just noticed this new place pop up nearby, so had to try them since the menu looked so different from anything else in this area. Man... I am SO glad we did. Absolutely phenomenal experience through skip. The portions are huge, the ingredients are super fresh and they don’t skimp on them either! The fries, etc were all still nice and crispy, despite being delivered. We ordered the wachos (waffle fries with nacho toppings) which was such a big portion, it came in a huge pizza box. Amazing, crispy waffle fries, loads of cheese and tomatoes... and unlike most places, they don’t skimp on the hot peppers! We also got the British burrito which was phenomenal! I mean... Yorkshire pudding wrapped around incredible roast beef... how can you go wrong with that?! Lastly, we got the philly-style poutine, which was enormous, lots of cheese, full of fresh peppers and mushrooms, covered in delicious onion straws and topped off with roast beef in incredible BBQ sauce! There was even a personal note on our order, and I really appreciated that they took the time to spell my name right. I can’t wait until COVID is over and we can visit this place in person, because it seems like the service will be awesome. Until then, we’ll definitely be getting take out so they get all the profit! We can’t wait to try the stuffed mini yorkies!
We stopped in here and had an an awesome experience ! Our server Bethany gave us excellent service- checking on us regularly and never letting our drinks go empty !The owners Desmond visited us at our table and it was awesome to hear a bit about the story around the development of the restaurant.Food was great with a good selection of beers including some craft beers on draft.We will absolutely be back !
