So far I've been here two nights since my visit to Edmonton and I'm impressed each night. Gluten free or not this is the best prepared food I've had in a very long time. This food is made by people who love what they do. The service is Excellent and the atmosphere perfect. So far I've had the Pork Sniztle and Fungi and Spaetzle both superb. Oh, and by the way..the Tiramisu is amazing.. and it's gluten free.
My fiancée has a fully gluten-free diet, and there is no option in the whole city that has as wide of a high quality selection as Continental Treat. For anybody in my shoes as a full-gluten eater who is with a no-gluten eater, I can guarantee you that this is one of the best places you will go out to eat with your eating-partner.The pierogi (pyrogy? pyrohy? pirogi?) options are incredible for celiacs with Slavic roots who have always felt left out of family dinners. ?The dill pickle soup enters my brain every few months and I just HAVE to make an order. ?I look forward to ordering one of their imported Belgian Abbey Beers every time I go. I love the Tripels and Quadrupels. ???This is our place we go every time we want to celebrate something. Thanks for existing, Continental Treat.
My boyfriend and I went to Continental Treat the other night. It was a fantastic experience. We were seated right away. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly and checked in on us often. When asked, he recommended the Hungarian goulash with spaetzle pasta. It was so delicious! My boyfriend got the pork chop which was also amazing. The portion sizes were large and we had to take leftovers home but there was enough for almost an entire additional meal. The prices are high but it’s worth it. Would recommend and would go there again.
I had a perfect dinner tonight.I was diagnosed with Celiac disease a couple months ago, and heard about this place. I dropped in for an early dinner at 4:30, and had the best table in the house with a window seat. This was the first time I went out to dinner in over year, and felt safe with the dividers between the tables, and the masking of the staff.I had heard about the dill pickle soup, and though I am not particularly fond of dill pickles, it was nice and hot and so full of other ingredients - I just loved it.The pork schnitzel was crisp and tasty, and the mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy perfectly seasoned. The bright trio of cucumber salad, beet salad, and carrot salad was a lovely accompaniment. I had thought the vegetable medley would have been cooked veggies, but this cool contrast was ideal.I have been wary of gluten free experiences - but this was awesome. Cannot wait to return to try other gluten free choices.
We booked for a party of 14 to celebrate an 80th Birthday at the NEW Jasper ave location! We had perfectly distanced tables of 7, close enough to be involved in conversation. Given the wide range of dietary restrictions in the group, the facility, staff and Chef easily accommodated as everything in house is gluten free! Despite the size of the party, our food came as ordered…hot and delicious!Even the delicious Black Forest B-Day cake was gluten free!I can’t thanks the staff, Chef and Sly enough for making this a memorable experience! Well deserved Kudos all around!
Had an amazing experience here. The food was all absolutely amazing. Especially enjoyed the lamb ribs! Highly highly recommend! A nice quiet gem on a busy street. Relaxing atmosphere.
They opened a new downtown location in December and it has the same amazing experience as the whyte ave location. It was the previously known as the hardware grill and it has the similar rustic- character of that legendary location with the added extraordinary food, service and hospitality. I'm happy this local restaurant is expanding their business. It is a worth a visit downtown to check out the awesome decor and stay there too.
Reserved a table for a “Chef’s tasting” this evening at the downtown location. Special VIP experience at a table overlooking the kitchen. Excellent food, great plating. Chef Liam did a great job for us.
Came here for dinner for the first time the other day and the food was incredible! We cannot wait to come back and Our server Kristina helped make it a perfect night! :)
