Such amazing service. They always give you larger portions than what you ordered. Definitely my go-to spot for lunch downtown!
I love Chicken for lunch, have been coming here for years but for the past few months it hasn't been great great. The portion size is still very generous, noodles and rice are great. However, the star of the show, the hot and dry chicken isn't the same recipe anymore. The Hot and Dry at CFL was better than the Dry Spicy chicken at the Lingnan as it was a thinner batter, right and amount of spice and salt. What is there now is more like the Lingnan, the batter is too thick and lacks the flavour that it I have come to know and love. Please go back to the old recipe.The other thing is the spring rolls. Amy, please, I beg you, bring back the old spring rolls. These new ones are mushy and taste soapy in the inside. If that's all you can get right now, I would just go without.
These women stress me out, they are so fast and they rush you in ordering. They suggested I order a medium but was being charged for large when I said it's medium she opens the box and removes bunch of stuff from the box. Never again. Food is mediocre.
Chicken for Lunch is amazing. The combinations Small Medium Large or the special. Amy is the best.

When I worked downtown years ago this place would be lined up all the way out the food court. It’s so damn good. I get the hot abs dry chicken, noodles and veggies. Throw in some spring rolls. Was nice to go back downtown and enjoy some lunch with my friends.
This place was recommended by my coworker. And it was not disappointing! Very reasonable price and delicious chicken! Perfect for lunch!

I AM NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN. I've been eating at Chicken For Lunch for more than 14 years and today was the WORST chicken I've ever had. I don't work in downtown but I always come here for lunch whenever I have a chance. I always order the regular size Hot & Dry chicken (nicknamed "crack chicken"). Why am I NEVER coming here ever again? Today I realized the chicken tasted completely different, it had no flavour at all. I bit a nugget in half to take a look inside. The amount of chicken inside the batter was smaller than the eraser at the end of a pencil. Every piece of Hot & Dry chicken in my takeout box was like this. The total amount of chicken in my entire box amounted to probably less meat than in a slice of deli sandwich meat. AMY, WHAT IS GOING ON??? Look, we all know the downtown core is hurting for business and we all know the supply chain is disrupted and we all know the price of everything has gone up but NOT ONLY HAVE YOU RAISED THE PRICE TO $12 FOR A REGULAR SIZE BUT YOU HAVE ALSO SHORT-CHANGED YOUR CUSTOMERS! I was so angry when I realized each nugget was, like, 99% batter and only 1% chicken whereas in the past it was more like 97% chicken and 3% batter. SHAME ON YOU, AMY!! I AM NOT COMING HERE AGAIN.
Best food court food in Edmonton. They are always kind, professional, and efficient. Dry and spicy is a life changing good flavor of chicken.The place can be busy at times, but it's always worth the wait. There's no seating in the food court at this time.
