Careit used to be great, great food, staff, the works. But I’ve noticed that they’ve raised their prices and shrunk the portion size…not great. In fact, the change is so drastic it’s no longer a viable meal option as one portion is no longer a meal despite the almost 20% price hike.Careit is off the take options list… too bad, the stroganoff was really good.

By far one of the best ,most fresh, top notch ,high quality, local , fair price food to eat in or take out in western canada. ?? They pour their hearts and soul into the food and you can taste the difference. You get what you pay for they say and there's not enough money in my savings to pay what I think they deserve for any single item on their always fresh changing and delicious menu. Please keep it up THE PEOPLE NEED YOU and never stop . Your food is probably the cure for a lot of the sickness going around these days. I know that soup and sandwich would pull me out of a coma! Hats off to the owners and the staff for always sticking it out ,trying fresh ideas with fresh local ingredients they need to be known.Infamous would be the best adjective for them in my opinion.Food pics to come

Everything I've tried here has been delicious! Really enjoyed the brisket poutine, chicken sandwich, and pulled pork. Great BBQ place super close to home

I’ve been going to Careit for a few years now and their products are very tasty, and the staff very helpful and friendly. Lately, every Friday after work, I’ve been picking up a few salads, various cold meals, and some their fried chicken that is probably the best in town, bar none. I’m a busy person and I find that shopping there for meals is definitely better than I can probably make for myself. I’m hooked.

Stopped here one day. Thought id try it out. Ordered myself a poutine and chicken sandwich. First off, the service was great! friendly, polite and informative. Gave you that family eatery feel too it. The poutine was incredible, the homemade gravy, cheese and the fresh cut potatoes. The way a classic poutine should be made. The chicken sandwich was pretty good but incomparable to the brisket sandwich i had the next day. The owner recognized me from the first day had a little chat. He insisted I try the fried chicken. At first glance it looks hard an overcooked..I was dead wrong. That has got to be the best fried chicken Ive ever had. Definitely going to be a repeat customer.

Everything is good here. Everything is scratch made. The Vietnamese sandwich is high end. But the poutine and fried chicken is very quietly the best in the city. Supporting local small business is a bonus here

Wow!!! We usually get the delicious paninis but tonight I got the BBQ Dinner for 2 for $45. I can’t even choose which item I liked the most….it was all perfect. Amazingly juicy fried chicken, brisket, baked beans, Mac n cheese, fresh crunchy coleslaw and the fluffiest cheese biscuits I have ever had. We are full and still had a lot of leftovers. I am going to dream about this meal!(Waiting a bit before I dig into one of their yummy carrot chocolate chip cookies….)

This place is capital A amazing. The food that I have had here has been made with love and comes in big portions. I most definitely recommend this place. Start with the beef brisket sandwich.

Working in the area this week and stopping here everyday for lunch. Highly recommend! ?? freshly baked bread for their sandwiches, the fried chicken is spot on and they even have beer cheese…. Who doesn’t like beer cheese?? Tons of homemade soups and salads as well. Well worth the price ??

Always an awesome place to go. I especially like the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich, but all are good. Awesome brisket. The ownership group is awesome and source as much local ingredients as they can. My favorite sandwich spot in Edmonton!
