It was awesome, Allyn was an amazing server and i was incredibly impressed by the speed and efficiency that both allyn and the kitchen staff worked. Our food was amazing, great flavor profiles and we enjoyed how generous the serving sizes were. The only slight downer was the large and bright tvs, they distracted from the quiant and romantic atmosphere. Cant wait to eat my leftovers for lunch! Thanks for a great anniversary dinner, we will be back for sure.
Char was an amazing server and food was probably the best Italian ever. The owners welcome you with a smile and an hand shake like they are old friends! The lasagna is simply beyond amazing. Pasta sheets were paper thin and loaded with every meat and sauce option conceivable. Casual atmosphere with competitive pricing. Servings are huge portions so do it family style and share. Will definitely be back!!!
Wanted to grab a bite while waiting for our vehicle at a shop across the street. While a little pricey for dinner, the lunch menu was very reasonable. Choice of pasta with different sauce choices and protein choices most for $15 with very large portions. Didn't come with garlic toast so we ordered a side of garlic toast for $4 and they were huge and tasted great as well. I had the linguine with sambuca rose and clams. My guy had the Fettuccine with pesto Alfredo Sauce. Topped it off with a spiced rum and coke and a Stella. Very good service from a sweet gal. We will definitely come back! My family and I had gone to this restaurant in early April, we had a wonderful experience!The service, food and atmosphere were all top notch.My family had ordered some of their most popular dishes, it didn't disappoint.From the King Pescatore, Gnocchi Bianchi, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Tartufo E Pmodori and appetizers, it was money well spent.I'd recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends! ???????
I was in town for work and was recommended Cafe Amore for a great meal. I have to say they did not disappoint! The mark of a good restaurant is a busy parking lot and dining room. They are a beautiful intimate restaurant with the warmest and most inviting staff. Do ask for Valerie, she was kind and informative of the menu! They took extra care in a GF allergy, which is much appreciated. From start to finish I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here, and if you happen to come by I would strongly recommend the Tartufo E Pomodori (shown below in GF)
I can confidently say that Cafe Amore Bistro is one of the best Italian restaurants you will ever visit in Edmonton. Not only is the food delicious, but the service and atmosphere is astonishing as well. Right when you enter the Cafe, your mood is immediately lifted, along with many laughs and smiles. I took my Mother to The Cafe yesterday as a Birthday Surprise, and she absolutely loved it. We were treated amazing, and we felt so comfortable and relaxed. Then the food came, and we were even more impressed with the Cafe. The sauce and pasta was so rich and flavourful, and the meatballs were just mouth watering. We were left speechless, I 100% recommend Cafe Amore Bistro.
Let me start by saying that I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, and have managed one of the top restaurant chains in North America. I have done a lot of travelling and have eaten at some incredible restaurants around the world, with the most top notch customer service I have ever experienced.I have eaten at Cafe Amore quite a few times. Each time has been a disappointing experience. The experience I have had talking with the owner while ordering, or calling and making an order over the phone, has given me the impression that the owner is more interested in the quantity over the quality. He also seems to be more interested in keeping a close to 5 star ratings on his Google Reviews, then making sure that his guest requests are being met. Many of times I have eaten here during my lunch hour, I am having to leave with my lunch packed up as I have to head back to work. The food has taken close to an hour to prepare and hit our table. Leaving us to go to work still hungry and not being able to actually enjoy our food.There is also a lot to say about an establishment that has a high turnover in staff. It would be nice to see a familiar face serving you when you dine at the same place multiple times, and build a rapport with them.Its a shame that this kind of thing can leave a bad taste in your mouth, and wanting to take your business somewhere else where it is actually appreciated.
I ordered steak and lobster for my main dish. The steak was perfect but I wasn't very impressed with the lobster. Tasty but quite small for the price. Muscles were very tasty and I ordered a Ceasar to drink...let's just say it was an appetizer all on its own. Service was great and although the place was packed we didn't have to wait until our order made it to our table.
Absolutely fantastic food. Prices are a bit high but you for sure get your value out of the price. Best pasta I've ever had. I'd recommend anyone who likes Italian or pasta make this their next stop.
