Huge disappointment. I’ve seen such good reviews and I’m someone who goes off of word of mouth. I will never listen to reviews again after this. I ordered a mushroom burger, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were ok but not cooked enough. The cheese inside was still hard. The onion rings were good, perfectly cooked. The mushroom burger however was absolutely awful. The burger didn’t even taste like beef. It was so thin, it was the equivalent of a couple of slices of sandwich meat. I’m pretty sure they are frozen generic burgers out of a box. The mushroom sauce had a funny taste and even worse after taste. I’m positive the mushrooms are out of a can. The mushrooms were rubbery and had that canned mushroom taste, no way are they fresh mushrooms. For the price, I’d rather go to a big chain fast food restaurant. At least I know what I’m getting and it’s edible. I’d give them minus 10 stars if I could based on the burger alone. My advice: If you’re hungry and want a decent burger, don’t waste your money here or be prepared to throw your money away because that’s what you’ll be doing with their food.
Service was very good. Skinniest patties I have ever seen. They were smaller and thinner then a Mexican burger cart in puerto Vallarta. The fries in the poutine was nearly raw. The deep fried mushroom caps were very good (no photo). Lots of parking. The sidewalk outside the main door needs to be replaced or slab jacked. It’s dangerous on a frosty or wet day around freezing temperatures. Watch your step.
As a first timer, the drive thru menu is an absolute mess. Gimme pictures! Not long winded descriptions of topping that I'll never read through. I felt anxiety to order and there wasn't even a car behind me lol. That aside...the burger and tots were great! and the service was quick and friendly. The patty was a little cheap. But I think you know what you're getting at a place like this. The ingredients were fresh and well prepared. Burger Baron hasn't seen the last of me.
I asked for a donair burger in a regular bun with extra meat and extra cheese and they were fine with it until after they took my money. Then the foreign female cooks made me realize that I was asking them to do it differently, saying i couldnt add a burger patty to a donair burger. MFW ??????$$$????? Hire more people that can cook and sell burgers without rude communication problems or get squeezed out by everyone else doing it better. Do not eat here, the 127st location is far superior.
I absolutely love burger baron I've eaten at pretty much every one of them across Alberta over a 40 year span. Keep up the great work ?
Burger Baron is a staple of the Edmonton burger scene and I'm always in a better mood after picking up a mushroom burger and a chocolate milk shake. Long live the Baron!
What can you say . Better than McDonald's
Really liked the mushroom burger, fries ? were fresh but the pork spring rolls shouldn't be on the menu. Keep to burgers ?and fries
Gross. Low quality rubbery burgers akin to what you can buy frozen at Walmart for 15 bucks a box. Mushroom burger was swimming in sauce and extremely sloppy, half of it ended up in the garbage. I'm really baffled by these high ratings.
Old school burger joint. Simple and delicious. I do highly recommend the Mushroom Burger with a side order of an onion cake. This grub will fill the munchies gap guaranteed.
