Perfect place for a date night! It’s been a couple of years since we’ve been here and it’s just as amazing as it’s always been! The food is incredible, the drinks are delicious, and of course you can never go wrong with some live music! Also, the service is top notch! It was really busy in here when we went but that didn’t take away from the whole experience. They deserve every one of the 5 stars I’ve given them! Great job, Blue Chair!!
This has always been one of my favorite neighborhood gems. It's small but never feels cramped. Even on its busy days I've never had the sense that I've had to wait an unreasonable time for service. The wait staff are always pleasant to interact with and I feel like they enjoy what they and don't seem so over extended that they can't spend a moment or two with you. I love the fun environment with the multicolored lights and miss matched dinnerware. The means always taste like a home cooked meal. Now one of these days in going to check them out when they have a live music show?
Brought in a friend from Calgary for Brunch. Firstly, the service, decorum and the music were great. Friendly people. Had the salmon eggs Benedict for a ridiculous 22 dollars. Two poached eggs and salmon on soggy regular toast, with 4 tiny slices of fruit. Seriously? I thought there was a mistake. My friends had the regular breakfast for 18 dollars, and as my friend from Calgary said, there's more plate than food. Another person counted the small potatoes on their plate. "5". One person wanted to order a Mimosa, 200ml for 16 dollars! No one sells a Mimosa for that price and that small. How is Blue Chair so off base and blind to this? Far more gourmet options for the same or less, such as a Mimosa flight for 15 dollars at Dog Patch. We all left hungry and will not come back, as they are way out of touch.
Great drinks, great service, great entertainment. The only reason they lose a star is because they served an unsolicited plastic straw in my drink. ?single use plastics.
All the food here is amazing and the staff are super friendly. As a web marketer, I can work from anywhere and The Blue Chair is the most comfortable and productive atmosphere for me! Highly recommend
Excellent brunch and live music, fantastic. The Blue Chair is always fantastic. Friendly staff and great eats.
Went to a live music performance. Staff and some patrons talkative and noisy at the back. Owner explained they make no effort to keep things quiet during live music. Doesn't deter them from charging a significant ($15) cover charge. Disrespectful and disappointing.
How have I never heard of this place until tonight! Best service! *thank you Troy! And Rooster Davis Band was awesome. Exactly what my pandemic mental health needed!
Food was super tasty and the sangría was delicious! They have live music different days of the week and the service is fantastic! Also, they have real home made habanero mango hot sauce to go with your dish! Absolutely loved this hidden Ritchie gem!
This place is quite nice. The staff was very courteous and I love the location in the quiet yet lively Ritchie community. We sat out in the patio for dinner. Food options were those that would be offered in a diner but the prices were closer to that of an upscale restaurant. So my 4 stars is more towards the pricing of the menu. The food tasted good but I would not rate it as exceptional. The cocktails were good value and tasted good. There was live music that night which was a bonus. The guitarist played great music and really improved the ambience of being out on the patio on a warm summer night.I would go back here with friends for drinks and to listen to the live music and to enjoy the neighbourhood. They have a selection of Jazz players playing there on some days.
