The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere is fantastic with a lot of natural light being let in that adds to the natural freshness from the food. The food itself is vegetarian and tastes fantastic with great presentation as well!
I loved this restaurant’s atmosphere. I felt the space is so clean.First, I thought the price was a bit expensive for a bowl of noodle but I changed my mind after I finish my meal. Considering the location, quality of food and the very nice people work there, I think that the price range is pretty fair.We ordered..- Satay Noodle Soup (Hu Tieu Satay) $17.75- Spicy Noodle Soup (Bun Hue) $17.75- Vietnamese Iced Coffee $6.75
Finally tried this place for the first time yesterday. I had the vermicelli special, my friend had the coconut curry, and we shared an order of spring rolls. Everything was delicious and the staff were all very friendly. Will definitely go back!
I saw this place driving by and made note to look it up. My one daughter doesn’t like meat and it is hard to find anywhere the 4 of us can go where it’s not the usual boring and or unhealthy fare. An Chay was soooo hard to find when I searched for it having forgotten the name but recalled that it was a vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant. This shouldn’t be that hard in a city the size of edmonton. Anyhow, finally found it via Linda Hoangs blog after seeing her pop up in my search with another Vietnamese restaurant review. Seriously, this place is that obscure on the internet. But it was worth it! Very quiet Sunday afternoon, even Cactus Club and Local across the street looked deserted though. Delicious wraps, spring rolls, green onion cake, vermicelli dishes and spicy soup. My teens and HB are picky about anything that isn’t their usual fare, especially if it’s vegetarian and not just plain pasta or fries. They loved all of it! The Vietnamese coffee is also a huge treat. Highly recommend!
Good place for vegan. Delicious. But the quantity is too short. After an appetizer and a bowel of noodles, I’m still hungry.
I work next door to An Chay, they've become the go-to for the staff of our clinic. Everything is always delicious, perfectly made, and ready on time for pick up. An Chay saved our hungry selves during this pandemic as they stayed open the whole time, worked around Covid protocols very well, and made me and my co-workers as healthcare staff feel comfortable ordering there. I am not vegetarian, but I never feel like the dishes are missing anything; they're filling and tasty. And the staff are always very friendly. Thank you, An Chay!
One of my favorite resteraunts in edmonton. I had the betel leaf wraps which were so fresh and delicious. Loved the fermented pineapple sauce that comes with it.
Setup is appropriate if you want to grab a quick bite or settle down for a comfy bowl of Pho with friends. Possibly one of the best Pho in the city. Highly recommended
Absolutely AMAZING food. Loved everything on the menu, I am not a vegetarian but I am satisfied everytime I eat here. Every item has it own delicious, unique taste. The service was impeccable, the server is always friendly and welcoming.
First time trying An Chay. It will not be our last. The depth of flavour was outta this world!
