The restaurant food is delicious and the grocery store is a fun place to shop. Picked up pita today and it was fresh baked and still warm! It’s the place to go for pita bread!

Very disappointed, average food with way too much arrogance and rudeness as a side. The food was ok, nothing special but the woman on the register was incredibly rude.In addition to the food, we got a couple of boxes of dates, 1 fresh and 1 dehydrated. We got to the car and opened the box of fresh dates... there were a few fresh dates that were off, they smelled bad and had an off texture when we pulled them out of the box. I went back in to show it to the woman at the register and she started yelling and saying that I didn't know how fresh dates are and that (moldy) dates are how they are.She said that she won't replace the box. She pulled out another box of dates, pulled out a perfect date and broke it in 2 and said there is no problem. I asked her if she could see that one was moldy and the one she opened wasn't.... she just arrogantly kept mumbling that I don't know how dates are. At the end, she did give a new box of dates but not after asking to see a manager.

falafel wrap will do the job for cheap, while the platter will stuff you for around $20 - super, super nice staff here. yoikes. salt forward

I love this place. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is relaxing, clean and has a lovely warm ambience. The food is fresh, tasty and delicious - the chicken shwarma wrap is the best I've ever had. We'll definitely be visiting Al Salam on my next trip to Edmonton.

Food was lovely and I do enjoy and support this restaurant. However, on my visit tonight vaccine proof was not checked. The gentleman working the cash register had no mask. Another man working on stocking the shelves had his mask on his chin, neither covering his nose or mouth.Given our city is in a health crisis, i was saddened to see that they are not following the mandatory covid measures.

We’ve been coming here for years now, and it’s a favourite of ours. The portions, flavours, and prices are always great. The platter is super generous, it could feed 1-2 people.

Best Shawarma Platters in Edmonton. Good Portions and freshly baked pita bread

Ive beem going to Al Salam for takeout for years and their food has always been good and continues to be good. My low rating is because the person behind the till was not wearing a mask (masks are mandatory indoors as of this review) when processing my transaction. To make matters worse, he processed the groceries for the customer in front of me who was not wearing a mask. It was disappointing to see. Btw the person making the food (Ahmed) was wearing the mask and so was the lady getting the order packed. Please wear masks indoors.

For the best pita bread in Edmonton try Al Salam Bakery pita bread. I have not visited the restaurant and cannot comment on their other products, but if they are as good as the pita they are likely very good. I always buy and enjoy the Al Salam pita bread . You can purchase it at stores all over the city.

Prices are quite high, food is very good though. Cashier wasn't wearing a mask even before they removed the restrictions, which is dangerous for customers.
