Our Pfizer Rep brought this for our lunch and learn to our clinic today. Had the salmon bowl today, and was super impressed! Portion size was good and the ingredients were fresh, really enjoyed the sauce and garnishes in the bowl. I will definitely be trying more from this place when I am in the area.
Used to be a big fan of wise and wright, but the portions have gotten ridiculous. The avocado toast is like $8 and there is no avocado on it! Sadly won’t be ordering from them any more, many better options available.
As a new regular at Wise & Wright I can honestly say that it's some of the best food I've had since living in Calgary. The dishes are very creative and diverse, and the vegan options make it really accessible for plant-based people. The location is great and the staff are really kind. I suggest the elevated hot chocolate with an espresso shot!
Really disappointed in the downgraded quality of the food. We used to love the crushed avocado toast, it used to be great quality and really good. They barely put any hummus, avocado, tomato on. If product is costing you more, then charge more for good quality food.
Wise and Wright was one of my favourite places to eat I have been coming here daily for years and in the last 6-7 month there has been a dramatic change in quality and customer experience. Interesting option for healthy eats in the area, though there are certainly some things left to be desired. I had the tuna bowl, and it felt like it wasn't a coherent dish. The dressing didn't work with the tuna, and the bed of greens rather than rice or starch was certainly surprising. Overall, this was an okay lunch, I will return to try other menu items to see if my experience hold true across their offerings as this is certainly a promising establishment.
I eat out a lot and I love Wise. The food is always fresh and tasty and the staff are always nice. My favorite bowl is the Rancheros. I noticed people have been complaining about how expensive food is well grocery prices have gone up and it's not that different then paying for fast food.
This place used to be a great place to come for a healthy lunch. It seems as of the last 6 months the portions are much less, like a half scoop of rice, 3 pieces of chicken and some sauce in a bowl. One day I even paid for extra rice and while waiting for my order, someone comes over to the man making my meal and says “that’s what you call extra rice? She paid extra.” If he hadn’t been around to say something I would’ve paid like $3 extra dollars for a half scoop of rice.Wish it would return to its old portions, as that seemed more responsible for a 13-16$ bowl.
Seems like it would be a nice enough place; however, the lady that runs it was extremely rude towards me and my friend who had, up until now, been repeat customers.The first poor experience we had was her staring at us the entire time while we waited for our order, making us feel very uncomfortable.The next time we went back she forced one of her employees to confront my friend who was not wearing a mask due to their medical exemption. The employee was decent and respectful about it. The manager then proceeded to flip out and started lecturing and raising her voice at us from across the café, even telling my friend that they "need to use their brain."Funnily enough, she was not wearing her mask while preparing food and telling off my friend. She then grabbed her phone to start taking photos and continued to stare both of us down as though we were criminals.Needless to say the drinks this time tasted 'off' to say the least. She definitely put something weird into our drinks out of pure spite and we were forced to throw them out. And these drinks were not cheap, $7 for one small.I feel terrible for the people employed under her and I will definitely NEVER be returning. 1 star is 1 too many unfortunately.
I was in downtown and looking for a lunch to go..i found this place and tried their food..i can say that their jamaican crazy bowl is incredibly good.i like their jalopeno sauce in it..great and friendly staff working their..absolutely will come back again ..
