Took my family to Vegan street for my son's birthday dinner and everyone loved it. The oyster mushroom kalamari may be my new favorite thing. The service was wonderful and our server Sergio was fun, engaging and attentive. Plus he had amazing style.Highly recommended eating here
The Calamari was absolutely stunning, and the portion size on the brunch bowl was awesome! Every part of my experience was thoroughly impressive, and I can not recommend eating here enough.Will definitely be returning whenever I come back to the city.
Store decor and ambiance was really good.The vegan tacos were enjoyable, the Big Mac one tastes exactly like a Big Mac!My favourite was the “Fish” taco. Overall I enjoyed all the tacos equally.We also got Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and I personally felt like those were lacklustre. No flavour and not very crispy, the “ chilli lime” just comes from the white sauce drizzled on top and you don’t get hints of chilli or lime.The hot sauces were supposed to range from medium to very hot, the first 3 weren’t spicy at all so I thought the spice levels were just mild, I ended up dunking my taco in piping piparo and that was is SPICY, needed ice chips and was tearing up spicy, but overall it’s good!
Seriously, such great food and awesome service! Super happy to see decent sized vegan meals in YYC! Will be back for sure!
Probably my favourite restaurant in the city. Super tasty vegan comfort food, great specials and amazing staff. It's nice to see the servers having fun at work..speaks a lot about management.My favourite dish is the fried chick'n sandwich I discovered at the beginning of the pandemic. But I've had a lot of their menu and nothing has disappointed. Their cocktails are fantastic too! LOVE their vegan caesar!All of the staff are great but I'd like to highlight Sergio. This place is fantastic. First, love the old house. Got there and felt very welcomed by super friendly staff. The menu is great. It's so nice knowing I don't have to go through every item and ask 'is there any meat in this'? We ordered a few different things and all of it was really really tasty, hot and nicely displayed. We're going back again tonight!
This place is good considering everything is vegan, but I found some of the food that’s supposed to replace meat to just be mediocre. I had the crispy “chicken” burger, which is made of seiton, and it basically just tasted like oil and kinda made me feel sick. If you go there I wouldn’t recommend it. My friend had the fish n chips and the texture is very soft, kind of like mashed potatoes. Otherwise everything was pretty alright, and a good option for vegan comfort food.
B A I L E Y * What an absolute dream boat of server, we came in at the end of her night and it was like we were her very first table. She was bright, kind, efficient, with great suggestions and such a personable person. I come here a lot and love love love the entire menu, and all the staff but Bailey is an actual star. Having bartended and served myself I understand the pressure and stress of serving, especially right now in COVID times and I can genuinely say Bailey is by far the best server I have ever, EVER had. Props to you Bailey, this girls deserves a dang promotion. (Also the fish tacos are to DIE for you must try if you go!)
Ended up here as a plan B, when another nearby restaurant was closed. So glad it worked out that way, the food and service were fantastic. Ordered the Nashville Chickin sandwich with the street fries, and wow, they were delicious. Good portion sizes too, basically two whole meals. And as luck would have it, I found out they offer happy hour all day on Mondays, so I enjoyed a couple of reasonably priced tall cans as well. (In The Underworld stout, also tasty.) The hostess and servers were all very attentive and gave some great recommendations. Will definitely return.
