Recently we have been trying Mexican restaurants around town, we have been expanding our horizons of different cuisines. After seeing the reviews for Tu Tierra we decided to give it a try. My group and I started by ordering the nachos, with a pitcher of Horchata. The nachos to be honest with the Horchata was honestly enough for dinner, the portions are really good and the food is really heavy, I can't believe that after my partner and I finished the nachos we were both full. The nachos came loaded with cheese, ground Beef, refried beans truly and appetizer that qualifies as a meal. The pitcher of Horchata was made to order, I really enjoyed the fact that the restaurant gives you a pitcher (12$) rather then one glass for 6$ like there competitors. As for the main course we ordered the dish in the stone bowl for two with shrimp, the name eludes me, the main course was like everything else packed with flavor but by this time I could only spare a few bites as i was incredibly full. I recommend coming here if your looking for a satisfying filling meal.
Exceptional customer service. Friendly and accommodating. My sister had pulled pork tacos with beans and rice. She loved it. I had one of the most popular dishes, unfortunately I can’t remember the name. I’m so sorry! It was so good though. I was sad I was full because I wanted to keep eating. Also affordable, which is greatly appreciated. Highly recommended.

Food was fantastic and authentic! Lots of options on the menu and all three of the things we got were fantastic. The service was great as well and all of the staff were super nice. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for great Mexican.
First time I have ever left a restaurant without an empty plate.How this place has 4.4 stars baffles my mind. Either Calgarian's have never had good authentic Mexican food before, or this place buys 5 star reviews.Some of the worst food I have ever had. The taco my Gf got was not even eatable as the tortilla ripped at the bottom, impossible to hold. Not to mention some of the worst quality of food I have ever tasted at a restaurant. My dish was way too salty, no vegetables whatsoever on a MEXICAN dish?!!To add on.. The service was trash. Nice lady, but does not know a thing about serving. Our drinks came at the same time as the food came out... 20 minutes later. A $10-12 something margarita was in a tiny small glass, done in 4 sips.If you ever come to Edmonton, the best authentic mexican food is La Patrona, and The Three Amigos.
This restaurant has glowing reviews and we decided to try the best Mexican restaurant in Calgary , however, the food came out and it looked like it was prepared by microwave .Lack of flavour , dry meat , the rice that came with one of the dish was crunchy as if it was left out in the open for awhile.The chips that was served was decent but salsa didn’t taste as if it was home made.The service was great thus the 2 star here.I really hope they will improve their food or else this is not going to attract more Calgarians.
Great, friendly service. Food was awesome. Had the combination plater; chili relleno, chicken enchilada and chicken taco.
Our friends picked the restaurant as they love Mexican food. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and quickly shown to our seats. We glanced over to our what others had ordered and noticed that the portions sizes would be great. The starter chips and dip were fresh and had a good amount of zip. The main course came quickly and tasted great. We had the Trio so we could try different items. We left stuffed and satisfied.
Unfortunately, the dining experience was nothing like the reviews suggested.We did not get our appetizers for an hour after arrival and only after asking the serving staff how much longer we would need to wait. The service was terrible. After our initial drink and food order none of the staff came back to our table to check up or refill drinks. Several times we had to request service and it seemed like our table was being ignored in general.The food was nothing special and didn’t live up to the hype either.I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Fantastic food. Great service. And before we were done our meals my kids said we needed to leave a 5 star review. I’d eat here any day of the week!
