This. Place. Is. Awesome!!! It was my first time going to a club ant it was phenomenal! The drinks were amazing and the bartenders are awesome! They had my drink in less than 2 minutes and they were very busy. And the music was straight up awesome!(I might be using awesome here a bit much but the place deserves it) Favorite person at the club was the head of security! Dude is lowkey super chill and is quick to handle situations as to not cause too much of a disruption to all the guests. Will be coming back again very soon!
I'll start with the bad, the service was not good. It was 6 o'clock with only 2 other tables in the restaurant, and multiple servers on. Everything took a long time, even just to have drink orders taken. My 3 friends all got their food before me, and almost finished by the time my food arrived with no "sorry for the wait" or anything. I was pretty annoyed at this point, but that being said, I took one bite of my enchiladas, and they were hands down the best enchiladas I have ever had, and now one of the best things I have ever eaten. I would definitely LOVE to eat here again, the food is fabulous, but I just hope they can get better training or organization with their staff. Because even after this we ordered churros, and ended up just asking for the bill because the server forgot to punch them in.
We loved this restaurant. Juan Pablo was absolutely stellar!!!! The food was amazing. If you want to experience a real Latin Party this is the place; of course the music is loud because this is latino’s way (you can’t expect to have a book discussion club here) but if you want to dance and have a good a time this is the place.
This place is incredible, I went here for my birthday and they decorated our table which was such a cute added touch to a great experience. Love the atmosphere, very fun and upbeat. The service was phenomenal! Our waitress went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and constantly came back to our table to top up drinks. Our order seemed very cheap in comparison to most places and their portion sizes are great for what you pay!! Definitely will make my way back when I'm in Calgary again!
Called them to bring in some out of town cousins for a quick taste of the food, drinks and atmosphere. We were told it was super busy but they would give us an hour despite the last second reservation.Food was great, drinks were tasty and Andrea was the friendliest server!!The experience overall was what I wanted to show off to my BC visitors and we all left completely satisfied.P.S. the live music was amazing. 10/10 great vibes.See y'all again soon!
I don’t think this “club” understands what bottle service is! Never have I been disappointed with bottle service ever until this past weekend. Constantly asking for the gray goose bottles to be opened-mixes and soda water never topped up and empty…oh and what tropical themed club doesn’t have bar lime???! Not sure if they were short staffed or not but the bottle service girls where behind the bar all night…which in any other club they’re Your tables private waitress. I would have got better service at the bar. Truly disappointed and will never return to this establishment nor will I recommend it to anyone in the future.
For the first time I went to Tropical on 17th after hearing amazing things! The referrals did not disappoint! My server Andrea was incredible! She was always quick to check in and see how things were going, asking if and when we needed something, and was fast to return with food and drinks! Even though my to-go order was missing the guacamole and chips, still an incredible night!Before leaving after a couple of hours, my friends and I were able to experience the beautiful live singing they had. A true and memorable experience, and I cannot wait to go back!
Went here on Friday with some friends and we loved the place! The music was so good and the margaritas were delicious. Our server Sophia was also really attentive of our table and super sweet! She told us to come back Saturday for part 2 so we did and we loved the balloons they gave out at midnight. Highly recommend!
Went to tropical on a night out, got bottle service and I think our server, Andrea served us. She was energetic, nice, and did not make a single mistake.The music was good and food even better. Price is fair too
I really wanted to like this place because it seemed like a fun establishment to try out. Unfortunately it just didn't meet our expectations. The ONLY reason I'm not giving one star is because the hostess was incredibly nice and understanding. We got situated beside a birthday party of about 15+ people, as well as having a table by some speakers. It seemed like the birthday party area was private, yet they sat us down in the same area upstairs. There were other tables available upstairs as well, yet they stayed empty so I don't know why we were the only ones to have been placed there. We felt like we were intruding and did not feel safe because the people from the birthday party were constantly wandering away from their table and not wearing masks when doing so. The music was so loud for us that we couldn't hear the person beside us speak. Mask mandates were not being enforced (not one single employee was wearing their mask properly either) despite having signs all over the establishment. When asked to move away from the private birthday party, we were at first told that it would be possible by the hostess, but then our server came and said no. She said it was "not her problem" and that we "just had to deal with it." On top of that, our basic cocktails were either watered down or there was no alcohol in them. We left not long after we arrived due to the attitude our waitress had, as well as the unfortunate and uncomfortable placement of our table.
