One of the worst experience for dim sum in the city. The location is great, inside a prominent mall, but the food is subpar. Couple with the high price made this dining experience one of the worst value. If you're looking for good dim sum, visit another restaurant. We ordered a wide variety of dishes and nearly all of them were disappointing. When even the plain rice in the tonkatsu is dry, you know you're in trouble.
Do not go to this restaurant. Do not. I repeat, if you want Chinese food dim sum, then go to a real restaurant. The experience today was: expensive price tags with small serving size, low quality, bad tasting, bad texture, extremely salty, dry meat, next day old rice (or perhaps dry over cooked rice). No customer service.I honestly do not see why these call buttons exist. Malfunctioning call button at each table that serves no purpose and takes up space on the table. And they will charge you 16% tips for parties over 6 (and that isn’t stated anywhere). Also Chinese tea costs money per person. This is totally against all that I know and understand of Chinese food.At a bare minimum, A Chinese food restaurant should know how to cook steamed white rice.$140 for lunch with 4 adults and left hungry, extremely disappointed, utterly disgusted this was a “dim sum” restaurant.
It's a pretty nice restaurant to start onyi the world of dimsum. The food is made to order, so it takes a while to come, but it's fresh and tasty. I ordered 4 items (shanghai Xiao long bao, black pepper short ribs, baked bbq pork buns, beef Shu Mai dumplings ). The beef Shu Mai wasn't to my liking it looked flavour for me personally, so I really had to add a lot of soy sauce and the bread for the bbq pork buns was too sweet that it overwhelmed the bbq pork filling. Not sure if they use a different type of dough when baking it, but was quite disappointed since it was different to other baked buns I've had. Would like to try their steamed buns next time. But the rest were super delicious
The second time I went to this place I went alone. This is so that I could eat all the food myself without having to share. It was so good! Of course I had to take most of it home to eat the next day. Staff are friendly beyond measure. The food is excellent. The price is beyond reasonable - dare I say "cheap"? Next time that you come shopping at Chinook Mall - treat yourself and your companions to a world class restaurant and dining experience.
Yummy food a bit pricey. Good but reserved service.
The food was pretty bland, ordered the mapo tofu (which is my fav dish) it had a sweet and sour taste which was off-putting and ruined the original recipe. My friend ordered the tonkatsu soup, he said it was very bland. The flavour was watery and the colour was off. It was our first and last time eating here, I would recommend eating somewhere else.

Not a bad place to quickly satisfy ones cravings for Dim Sum. I enjoyed their deep fried shrimp and eggplant, but it’s quite unhealthy. Don’t ever order the steamed pork ribs with pumpkin. It’s not worth it! The place is generally packed and the food is pricey. Do ensure you’re not hungry and not in a hurry as the restaurant seems understaffed so the wait can be annoying. I don’t think I’ll ever go back.
Always a treat eating here!! Our family loves dimsum!!
Often very busy but I personally don't find the food all that special. Staff were very friendly and helpful for the most part.
