Went for brunch today, and was surprised when they asked my adult autistic son for his ID. It was 10:30am, and we were on the patio with friends trying to order French Toast. Despite allowing minors in, they refused to serve him, and advised me he would have to leave. We weren’t drinking alcohol, gambling, and he had a screen capture of his government issued ID. Apparently because he looked under 25, they refused him service, and as a result my son in-law (who was also under 25 and not asked for ID), my son and I had to leave. The server and manager refused to accept a screen capture of his ID, despite this being the very form of ID that was required and accepted during covid. Also, being a disabled adult, he has no drivers license, and he understands that I will be paying for him. The lack of common sense and discretion your staff showed today was absolutely shameful. Feel free to keep asking those who appear to be less than 25 for their ID when they are in your licensed establishment. However, keep in mind that when a group are coming in for breakfast, and sitting on your patio, logic would suggest that this isn’t the drinking and gambling hour. Your flat out refusal to look at my (almost 19 year old) sons Alberta ID on his phone demonstrated possibly the worst customer service I have ever seen. Hiding behind the suggestion that an AGLC investigator might come in at 10:30am on a Saturday morning and fine you, was not only laughable, but suggested they too would lack the good sense to know that my son was in fact an adult, had government issued ID, and was only there to enjoy a breakfast. I’ll never walk through your doors again
It was mine and my husband's first time here . When walking in it was very welcoming. We were greeted rite away.We also appreciate the AC, it being +33 today. That was really nice .We chose to sit near the pool tables. We played a game of pool and had a beer . I didn't catch our servers name but she was great. Really friendly and helpful .I really liked that the music wasn't overly loud, were everyones shouting at each other. It was nice to be able to hear each other and enjoy ones company .It was a really nice outing.I look forward to coming back and checking out the menu
The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was delicious and the waitress, April was friendly and interactive with us. The decor is steampunk crossed with steam train decor. This was our first time (myself and my partner) at the pub. It was a memorable experience. We will be back.
I really enjoyed my lunch here. The service was great, the menu was varied and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
For only $12 I didn't expect a wonderful steak sandwich, but that is what I got. It was a lovely piece of steak, cooked exactly how I like it, and not fatty or full of gristle.I'd like to have seen our server a bit more than we did, but she was very good when we did see her.I'll definitely be back.
Had an early dinner on the dog patio and it was great! So nice to see other dogs with their people having drinks and dinner. Our server was excellent! She brought out a fresh bowl of water for each table that had a dog. The happy hour prices were great and my burger was perfect. Highly recommended for all dog people and furry family!
Excellent pub!Good food with some Great specials.Staff were very friendly. The menu should be altered to show GF gluten friendly dishes... thats more of a standard now, or have an online menu showing that... My wife and some friends need to know...
The station has a great vibe with their TV trivia, current music, DJ nights, and various games/prizes. Their servers are timely and are happy to help you make decisions without feeling rushed. The food is also delicious and wing night is great! The downfall? The washrooms. They’re located down a few sets of stairs, which isn’t safe for anyone enjoying happy hour. The washrooms are also very private, which is usually a good thing but in this case, it’s a bit sketchy.
I had been to The Station pub on one other occasion 5 years ago but did not have a good experience at all. So when my buddies wanted to go there i was quite hesitant to say the least. I was pleasantly surprised, The interior was much nicer, The staff were super friendly and the food was great. I was really looking forward to being able to sit in a pub again after all the Covid restrictions were lifted and I'm glad this was the pub we chose!
Love the station, everyone is always so friendly and the food is amazing! They’re super accommodating, they also have a dog patio that my puppy loves
