I thought that this place was more for older teenagers or adults, but recently there was a 10 year old Birthday party here and all the kids felt safe and comfortable. As part of the party, each child received a certain amount of tokens and were free to run around trying any of tye games that they wanted to.Each child was able to pre-order a meal that they wanted to eat rather than having to all eat the same thing. There is actually quite a large selection of menu items for kids here.I also noticed that the washrooms are spotless here. That is quite impressive with all the people who come here. The servers are quite professional and the food is delicious. This is not just an arcade. It is also a good place to watch a hockey game and have a bite to eat or drink while you wait for the kids to wear themselves out. Lol.
It was really fun place with so many great games, especially the VR game! Sorry to the people who was in my pictures! I tried my best to avoid taking people into my photos but still could not accommodate that. We spent all the money deposited into the card, but still could not stop because those games were so good and full with fun! Also, the customer service was prompt and great. We had an issue, but the service guy came to fix it within couple of minutes! Will definitely keep going back ! You should come to try too. Highly recommended.
It is a great place to have fun with all different games. Just don't leave your young kids alone for too long because they will spend a lot of money. A great place to have fun and party. The only thing I didn't understand was that we were having a table and a big party. We could not stop other people from sitting on the big table and many people would just come and take a piece of our pizza when we were not looking. At the end of the night we paid for our bill and they were asking us about the people whom sat with us since the table was long. It was sad that those people didn't pay for their bills and the server was asking us to tell her who was responsible for it. I guess it was neither her nor our fault.I wish they had a better way for these kind of problems.
We came here for a friend's birthday. It was everyones first time to the venue, and we had such a blast! The food was filling and so so delicious! The drinks and cocktails were decently priced and super yummy! They had games for EVERYTHING. we even played 4 person air hockey! They had a Cinco de Mayo party the Friday we went, and that was so fun! Watching everyone dance, and they had a dj playing some awesome beats!Even as a group of adults, we found many many games to enjoy as singles, and as a group! Highly recommend this place if youre looking for something fun to do thats a bit retro!
This is a really great place with tons of fun games, VR, arcades and even pool, golf simulation and table tennis on the second floor.Food was okay. There was a weird cheese on our nachos that we didn’t appreciate too much, though the jalapeño poppers and goat pizza were quite tasty.
A fun place to take the kids for an afternoon. Some of the games were out of order. They have a couple vegan friendly dishes in the restaurant and they were very good. Unfortunately they were out of the alcohol free cocktails that I wanted to try. Maybe next time.
Great fun for the whole family
The Rec Room is a really good alternative to have a different day. You can enjoy with your kids more than one hours and pay 35 for each kids.
Food here is pretty good and this is basically the best arcade place in Calgary because there aren’t that many things here yet. Will definitely be returning.
Had a visit with my wife & good friends on Saturday 12th. Was greeted first thing when entering The Rec Room by friendly staff. My friends were hungry so we decided to get a bite to eat. I had the poutine which was pretty good the gravy tasted good but could of been hotter. My wife had the pretzel she really enjoyed it. And my friends liked their salad and nachos. The servers we very nice and friendly. Next it was time for hitting up some games. This place has a lot of games but they could use more older games for example pinball and fighting games. The point system is good but I got ripped of on the barrel game I had 300 points but it only counted 151... It was at this moment I gave up on the tickets. Spent 50 dollars and got about 1402 tickets. The place was bit of a gong show by 4:00pm so decided to leave. ***Note they need to do something with huge PAC Man game as people can walk in between you and screen not cool!***
