Cute little hole in the wall place. Very clean. Service was great. Server took care of us, but was not overbearing. Food was fantastic. I had a steak, it was cooked right, and tasted good. We also had a pizza, and it was good as well. If back in Calgary, would definately go again.
My wife three kids and I found this place by chance passing through Calgary. It was by far the best experience we've ever had. On the outside it looks like a hole in the wall place, we were abit sketched out. Then you walk in and it has this old homey feel to it. We were greeted by a young man who I believe was the owners son, who sat us down. He as well as the regulars there all played with my 4 year old son, while we were there. My son didn't finish his spaghettis because he was over tired. And he removed it from the bill without us even asking or expecting it.The portion sizes were absolutely fantastic. My wifes caesar salad was massive for the price, everything was fresh and crisp. I got a 10oz Sirloin with sauteed mushrooms, cooked blue rare. The steak was cooked to perfection, the mushrooms probably were just cooked with montreal steak spice, but the flavors were incredible.Can't recommend this place enough. My only regret is that we're not staying an additional night in Calgary, so we could go there again.
This is my Favorite Restaurant Ever!! MMM the Pizza and everything else we ordered was DELICIOUS!! We loved how Fouad took our orders (perfectly) without writing anything down! He is the best server we have ever had! He is a very very busy person!!! Great service, Great atmosphere, Great Food - - I wish I could give 10 stars for this place!!! Fouad is our Favorite!!!
Had a steak sandwich was a bit chewy but taste was great. It's like an old time pizza place and was very comfortable. Service was awesome. Waiter was on top of stuff and so friendly. I honestly cannot say I have that good of service in a very long time. Food was a 3 star but service was a 5 star . Would go back again
e travel from Rocky Ridge 20 km for the Great food and Service at The Place on Bowness Road Calgary. Yes we would go further. We take the Pizza out to Wiaporous when our Sonnis camping in the mountains , as a treat for hime ands friends. we bring our friends and family there.
Great service and good food. Steak we had was slightly tougher than we'd like but cooked right, good flavour and portion sizes are enormous. Great value, large menu and outstanding service. They gave the kids freezies free of charge after the meal. Was our first time there and will be back. Thank you for some much needed family time.
Very friendly staff!! Very welcoming, and they greeted all their locals by name as they came in and left which was nice to see. Excellent service, and my steak was cooked very nicely! Reasonable prices too. It seems like a real neighborhood staple!
We’d driven for 11hrs from BC, checked into our hotel and needed a late dinner. Pre-Covid hours online said open till 11 but when we got there they were closing in 20min at 10. But they didn’t turn us away - super friendly, we ordered dinner to go & sat comfortably while we waited. Salad & pizza were just what we needed. We appreciated the great customer service, friendliness & yummy food. ?
Have eaten here many times - all of it has been great. A nice pizza with lots of choices, steak and pasta all done properly and the onion soup is flavourful and not overly-salty like it is at so many other places. Good-sized portions and the sides aren't neglected either. Wish they had a better beer selection, given the incredible array of Calgary breweries. But good food and good staff make The Place a nice, friendly place to come to.
Food was delicious. Price was comparable to other restaurants. Great homey feel. We will be back!
