Metropolitan used to be "the place to go" some years ago. Not anymore since it has fallen behind several competition. Needs refreshing decoration (or a total modernization of the decor). Lacks ambiance
We were really looking forward to a girls night of cocktails here but the staff seemed very bored and unattentive, the place was dead even though other restaurants and pubs nearby were busy and very lively, they didn't have the same specials as they had advertised online for Thursday Ladies Night and the drinks were not very good at all. We stayed for 1 cocktail each and then went elsewhere unfortunately. I would not go back here.
We so wanted to try this place out and decided to go for our anniversary celebration dinner. It was a very nice location and the service was amazing. The server was so attentive we never had to wait for anything.
Been awhile since i have been to the Met which was a great place to dine and have discussion with clients. This is NOT the Met i used to frequent! To sum up our dining experience yesterday i would grade the service and food as very poor! Waited way too long to be recognized after being seated. Asked to have music turned down, not off, as it was difficult to carry on a conversation without speaking loudly. Saw other tables get up and leave due to poor service as well. Too long to take our order which led to inhaling our food as we were on a schedule. Then it seemed to take forever for our lunch to arrive. All of this and almost no communication from the serving staff!
Food was delicious. Made a reservation on the patio but they donât hold a table for us there so we had to eat inside which was disappointing. We were also told we would have to be out by 1 for a private event. It would have been preferable to be contacted prior informing guests with reservations of this.
We had a large group (20), so expect a bit slower service. The restaurant was not busy, plenty of staff, but service was very slow. Food was decent, drinks were great.
Awful experience, we made a reservation for 8 people during stampede over lunch and they told us we had 1 hr to eat and get out because they had an event. Awful service, ambiance and experience. Will not return
The food was really good, drinks were good. Service was decent. Good environment
Beef capacious is my new favourite appetizer. The wedge salad is a lot but so good.
