Amazing place. Such attention to detail in service and food preparation/presentation. And the most amazing and reasonably-priced wine list. I recommend anyone who lives or visits Calgary spend an evening at The Highwood. It will be an experience you wonât ever forget.

As usual the experience was great. Our server was very attentive and polite. The food was very good and the other staff were great as well. Kudos!
We all enjoyed our meal and it was our collective first visit. The food was enjoyable.
Second time here in the last month. Run by students so there is an element of expectation that goes with that. On the food side, fantastic. Good presentation, portions about right, and tastes great. Constructive feedback for the servers: Don't be in a rush. Felt like they were over every 2-3min trying to top-up our water. Food came out fast but one time we were stacked with soup, salad, and main on the table as they were back to back. Can improve on the timing. Chat with the table a little if they are willing (why are they there, etc.). Allow for some time to understand the menu. And know the daily specials. Found it hard to understand what they were. Clarity and knowledge important. Other than that, go there and experience it. Oh... Get the elevator fixed!!! Those with mobility issues (like my wife) struggled to get up the stairs.

Our student servers were so attentive and sweet! The meal was fantastic, great value!
The food was good and presentation outstanding. The rice and the risotto were undercook and the salmon cooked too much. We were a party of 6 so had a chance to taste different things. We declined desert and they still brought us desert to share, that was a nice touch.
Great value for your money! It may be a live classroom, but the service was top notch and a teacher was around at all times observing and coaching. It was a great evening out with our friends. We will be back!
