I had heard about this establishment but this was my first time dining here. I must say, I was not disappointed. First of all, kudos to the chef. I was here as part of a really large group for a friend's birthday party, everyone had many different things to eat and everyone had good things to say about the food. There were a lot of options so everyone found something they liked to eat. They accommodated our large and fairly noisy group with such grace. Service was prompt, very polite and courteous, there were no mix ups with orders despite the size of the group. The vibe just felt right. 1 100% would return.
We sat around 5pm the server was very nice, the hostess sat us at a dirty table, literally sticky smears everywhere after the server and host visiting numerous times not once did they wipe down anything. The specials menu was falling apart, gross and sticky. Food wasn’t that good, below average pub food…only thing good was the cold beer glass
I tried the Rita challenge (1 hr to eat a 6 patty burger and a large poutine). The burger was delicious and I finished it in under 15 mins. The poutine was actually not very good which made it very hard to finish. If you finish all of the food in the 1 hr time limit, it’s free; otherwise it’s $50. I had 3-4 bites left and decided it wasn’t worth it. Maybe I’ll try it again in the future.
I made a reservation for a large party to honor my nephew leaving for the basic training for the army.Canadian Brewhouse was so amazing. Tony the manager was great through the reservation process and came to introduce himself personally when we arrived. We had half of the upstairs to ourselves.Katrina and Kennedy were our servers and they went above and beyond their typical duties. When we mentioned that a few of us were celiac they made a special sign and sectioned off the end of the food table to ensure the gluten free options were all separate and known.Will definitely consider it again, especially for larger guest counts!
The atmosphere was exceptional. The wings and tuna fish were really good! Recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a beer.We enjoyed our time with our service dog

Came to visit calgary and happened to be here during the battle of Alberta- man, what an atmosphere! Introduced my Swiss husband to some Canadian hockey and Canadian brewhouse was the best place to do that aside from going to the actual game haha. Great night!
The food and drink is fine, speed of service also not bad, why 2 stars? Because of the deceptive service by waitress. Ordered a drink on special. Waitress went out of her way to mention a type of rum that wasn't covered, double the price! Didn't mention it to me, but its obviously known by them. Ordered a water and got beer given to me as well. Yes, could've sent it back but I didn't put up a fuss, whose gonna pour out a good beer? Hate to say it but it's just a way pushing the total up exponentially for a slightly better tip. Pretty disappointing

I originally had 5 stars but I'm revising to reflect my most recent experience. Daytime (1pm) visit with my son. It took 5 minutes for us to be acknowledged. I then had to ask for a booster or highchair. The service was slow. I got the burger and beer special and I finished my burger before I got cutlery for my salad. I had to ask the waitress. The waitress was very personable and kind but just needed a bit more prompt service.
