Worst service ever. The cashier threw my change on the counter instead of handing it to me or putting in down gently. I understand if you’re taking precautions because of the pandemic, but to just dump it aggressively like that? All the change i received I gave as tip but i’m starting to regret it now. I’m paying $7.00 + tip for bubble tea so I expect better service. If you want to treated with respect, don’t come to this location. I would give 0 stars if i could.
The girls making the tea had horrible attitudes. I asked for a recommendation, since I’d never been there before and they seemed really annoyed to answer any questions. I was between two flavours, trying to decide and asked my fiance which one he wanted. When we decided, the girl making the drink started slamming equipment and had a sour look on her face. They were also OUT of most things. I’m a very easy going, customer but the behaviour was apalling. Very disappointed.
Very nice bubble tea shop but they put too much milk in my milk tea which overpowered the other flavours.
I had their drinks three days in a row and still not tired of it. Obsessed with their new menu, definitely will go back and order more!
A pretty nice place to grab a drink, whether you want hot or cold, they got a very well-made menu with a wide selection of drinks to choose from, some that you probably won't find in any other bubble tea places.
Tried to order a few drinks here but they didn’t allow customization to the sugar and ice levels. They were not busy and no one else in the store on a Sunday afternoon. Walked across center street to Coco and got exactly what I wanted. I won’t go back to alley.
If you’re in downtown Calgary don’t forget to drop by The Alley bubble tea house. They have lots of boba and milk tea varieties to choose from. The place is not only aesthetically pleasing but they serve sweet milky beverages that would satisfy your milk tea/boba cravings. You can modify the sweetness and coldness of your drink which is the trend now with bubble teas. I ordered Tiramisu flavored milk tea and it tastes really good. I have first seen the The Alley in Kdrama series The King Eternal Monarch which stars Lee Min Ho. ?I did not missed this opportunity to visit them.? ?
Let me tell you how excited I was when I found out that The Alley had opened up a location in Calgary! The Alley is one of my go to boba shops in Toronto. The Calgary location is located in Chinatown Downtown, down the street from Gong Cha and Chatime which makes it easier for when you're with a group of people who all want boba from different places. Only downside is, limited parking being downtown. The interior is beautiful, very similar to all the rest of The Alley shops.[Go To Drink Orders]Royal No.9 - This is a light, creamy refreshing milk tea. I am a tapioca topping person however, a friend told me to try Royal No.9 with Pineapple Jelly and wow it blew my mind. I never ever get fruit jelly toppings but Royal No.9 is an exception. The two go so well together, I highly recommend you giving it a try.Deerioca Puff - This is more on the sweet, dessert type drink, as it is fixed sugar and ice and only comes in regular size. I usually order this when im feeling a little something sweet desserty. Its thick, creamy with a crunch and the perfect amount of sugar to satisfy the sweet tooth. They also have a location inside Chinook Mall as well!!
I tried their non-alcoholic black gold milky beer today and it taste so good. I haven't drink beer for so long since all my friends drink wines. LOL! I really need a cool drinks after my work and it just perfectly fit my needs!
Matcha & deerioca! Absolutely divine.
