This restaurant is a hidden Gem! We went on April 24 for the first time and we plan to go back and possibly do take out on the regular. The food was incredible - complex flavors! We’ve had Nepalese food before and this hit it out of the park! In addition, the service was truly excellent. Great attention to detail and prompt service. My glass of water wasn’t empty for a second. I highly recommend this place!
I have been to taste of Himalaya twice in the recent past and the food was good. Unfortunately this time my experience was totally different. The lamb sikwa was dry, tasted like beef and definitely stale. The chicken Tikka Masala was no different,The Naan was undercooked and doughy. The fish pakora and kachumbar was fresh and tasted great. And the food was served in a reasonable amount of time we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time.
Staff at this restaurant was really nice and welcoming. We ordered momos - really good.Mulligatawany soup - delicious.Hakka noodles - bit too sweet and orange for my liking. If you like Nepali/ Indian food, you must give this place a try.
So yummy! We tried it for the first time last night. We are coming back for sure. Very attentive service, very clean. We loved the atmosphere. The location can make this gem easy to miss, but it's worth finding.
Visited the Taste of Himalayas for a late lunch on Weekday. The ambience is good and the staff is welcoming. We loved their Momos, they were great. The covering was thin and had good filling inside it.We also ordered the Pakora platter. The paneer pakora and samosa didn't seem fresh whereas the others were good.Their Naan and Lacha Parantha are to die for. Better than the ones we get in India. For the main course, we ordered Butter Chicken and Paneer Lababdaar.Butter Chicken was too sweet for my liking so had to get it redone. Paneer was good.We ended our meal with Chai and enjoyed the experience. Will go back for their Momos.
Great tasting food! Definitely try the Sekuwa! and momos. The Chowmein wasnt great though. Would visit again.
I am a regular customer of Taste of Himalayas. As a retired professional I have found this restaurant to be extremely good value for money. The ambience of the place is very good with Himalayan paintings and decorations to give a flavour of the origins of the food served here. Today I tried Lamb Sekuwa served in a hot plate with a plain nan and the dish was outstanding - meat was tender and spice flavours were mouth watering. The serving staff is very courteous and helpful and the chef is expert in Nepalese & Indian cuisine. Overall today’s dining experience was outstanding. Thank you Taste of Himalayas ?
We were looking for a new takeout Indian restaurant. Overall the taste of the food was good. We ordered takeout and the biggest disappointment was the quantity of food you received for the price.. the one vegetable dish was mostly sauce with little vegetable. The same was true for the butter chicken and curry. In the past i have eaten in the restaurant when they had a lunch buffet but this was the first time for takeout. It is off our list now for takeout.
have never had a bad meal lovely people serving delectable food wonderful menu we order online as well as take out, our family drives along way for the food
Having lived in the US west coast in California and Washington, this is one of the best Nepalese / Indian food I’ve had for good value.
