How does one begin to describe their favourite taqueria? El Charrito is family-run restaurant with a heart of gold. The tacos are authentic, delicious, and fresh. The atmosphere is casual in the way that feels homey - the kind of place you could visit several times in the same week. The staff (especially Juan) are always ready with a kind word of greeting. I have never been disappointed to visit El Charrito. Love this place for life!
I've been going here every weekend for the past month. As a Mexican i love this place. The menudo soup is a must now, they call me by my name everytime I come so it also feels like home!
I am mexican, these are the worst tacos ever, the chicken tacos....come on! It's plain boiled chicken on a tortilla!You are better if you buy roasted chicken and throw it on any tortilla!These kind of chicken tacos, I would give to my kids if they are sick and if they need to eat super plain....Don't waste your money here, I want my money back!This is definitely not mexican food! The people who gave good reviews....I mean really?
Yo this place never misses. Best beef tongue in town!!! I've tried them all and this one's the best. Ordered gere 5 times in a row now. Please don't change.
They kept me waiting on uber eats for almost two hours. When I called they said they had to make a whole pork shoulder on the fly for my order which is ridiculous. I am a chef. You don’t make a person wait while you slow cook a freaking pork shoulder. They ensured me my order would be on its way immediately. After waiting another 20 minutes in preparation I cancelled my order. Don’t waste my time just because you don’t want to let go of my dollar.You hurt my feelings on this one guys.Do yourself a favour and try another place.
The Fish Tacos are probably one of the best in Calgary. Fresh and authentic. My first time and we will be back ?
My significant other and I had found this spot via social media and decided to give it a try. It has been a few months since then and this has been our #1 Mexican spot in the Calgary area. The quality of food is next to none and it is very consistent which I’ve found it hard to get from other places. I have not done any online orders or delivery. However, coming in to experience the warmth from the owners is amazing next to the food. I would recommend this spot to anyone around.
I LOVE this place! Amazing customer service, the best Mexican food, and flawless management. Service is prompt and food tastes authentic. A lovely family-owned business that's a part of the community, helping out a local elementary school through a project to both fund art and reduce food waste. I could not recommend them more!
The customer service I received was degrading.I am door dasher and my time was not valued.I went in to pick up the food for my client, I was refused by the dude because I did not have bag on me, I let him know not one not twice but 10 times (yes I counted) - that I do not need a bag, because it is not mandatory. I asked him to grab someone with authority and he came back 5 seconds later claiming to be the manger.The manger finally showed up, and he took his workers side, neglecting everything. At first he stated that he was going to hand me the food, but now he won’t. Just to confirm I was using my indoor voice but I was talking fast due to the frustration. They wasted a good 15 minutes of my life.I had no choice but to call door dash to call this store, and even the rep on the phone laughed at the fact that they denied to give me the food for my client.I’d just like to say (because I know you’ll read this) that as a dasher my time matters, and you being petty and refuse to admit your wrongs wasted my time, cost me money/gas. Not only did I get payed for this delivery, but it left me with a sour taste for your restaurant.Good luck. And do better.
