First time trying this restaurant, and got take out. My hubbt took a while to get home, so when I finally at it, it was a little on the cold side. Even cold it was absolutely delicious. I got the mantu, and lamb kabob plate. Lamb in both dishes was phenomenal! The mantu was especially tasty. Highly recommend… will dine in next time to try the food warm ;)
Fresh and delicious Afghan street food! The selection is great and the food itself is awesome. Very tasty and filling, prepared nicely by the friendly and accommodating staff. The service can be somewhat slow at times depending on the order and time of day but nothing too bad. Prices are reasonable and even the appetizers and sides are delicious! Parking is relatively easy to find in the plaza outside. Highly recommended.
They make EVERYTHING from scratch…even their MAYO! And the food is so yummy, we served by a two cheerful men (and yes they were originally from Afghanistan ??). So good, so fresh!
Absolutely incredible food.Lamb was fantastic with a good quantity.A great portion size of rice.Not too much salad.Mango smoothie was on the smaller size but was still really enjoyable.The next time I am in Calgary I will definitely try to get lunch here again.
Called on New Years Evening to inquire what time they are open, they told till nine. When called later around 7 to place order , they said they are closed. Ruined our plan. They will not even feel bad about it. Very bad service. Nothing wrong closing early but not giving accurate information when inquiring is wrong.They need to smarten up and give right information.
Amazing food. Tried the tandoori chicken, beef shaami kebob, signature chicken kebob, and lamb shank. All we DELICIOUS! Also, the Kabuli rice is amazing. I will be going back in the near future.
The food is delicious. Great flavor and fresh. However the price was a little high in my opinion. 16 bucks for a tray of rice with salad. And 2 kabobs on top.. seems a touch high. At other places I get twice as much food overall and twice as many items in my platter tray for the same price. I bet they'd sell twice as much food if they dropped the price 30% because they do have a great product!
Amazing Afghani food. Tried the lamb shank and lamb Kabab meal. Both were super flavorful and tender.
Their food is so delicious, I came here couple times from SW of Calgary and their food is fresh, consistent and I love their open kitchen idea. Their prices are good, food portion is great, always have to take a to go container. During covid the living experiences went up but these guys still kept it affordable for everyone. Wish these were close to SW, driving during winter is a challenge. Keep up the friendly service, delicious fresh food.
What a shame. If I could give this 0 stars I would. This place is was absolutely disappointing on so many levels. I would like to request the owner of the restaurant to please go take a look at your fellow persians/iranian restaurants like Termeh Cafe and House of Kabob and really sit down and think what they are serving compared to them.
