We recently started driving to this location as we visited this location doing errands and it by far has the friendliest staff attending to the patrons. The location in the north has become fairly run down , and that definitely takes away from the dining experience
I have been a Swiss Chalet fan for years. But I recently bought a full chicken dinner from the location on 130th St near the McDonald’s for delivery. We received 4 chicken quarters, to make up the whole chicken, that must have been sitting under the warming lights for different periods of time. Two of the quarters were so dry I’m surprised they included them in our dinner. They were very hard and no longer edible we ended up throwing them out. The two remaining quarters, one dark one white, were also dried out with heat lamps but we included extra sauce in the order so we just made it work as we were very hungry. The fries were soggy and clumped together so we just ate the buns with the chicken The whole meal was absolutely pathetic. Extremely poor quality food that upset all our stomachs. Seems this location doesn’t throw their old chicken out, they use it for take out.
Nice place to eat one of the few restaurants still around to get a nice meal for a relatively low price Server's are great and cater to your needs. Some new item's on the menu . Their fries are delicious.
Ordered a Rib Sandwich and didnt expect it to be as good as it was. Fries were extra crispy like I asked. No issues, quick sitting , servers were amazing, quick with the drinks, and the refills.
Very friendly staff .....very clean restaurant.... you can't beat the chicken dinner at Swiss Chalet.... I like the prices are reasonable..... nice place to come to when I come down to the south side of the city when I'm in Calgary.....
Another great meal from Swiss chalet . We have supported this local business ordering take-out several times during the lock downs, the food have always been fantastic. Staff is always friendly, food was hot and fresh
You either love it or you hate it. We love it. When I was a kid it was a major treat to come here, several decades later I still love ordering an extra sauce to dip my fries in as well as the chicken and the bun. I love when the skin is extra crispy. They have lots of other stuff but my go-to is the quarter chicken weight with fries and a white bun. It's delicious.
I really enjoy coming to this location because of their consistency in the dishes they serve. The restaurant is very clean and the food is delicious! I LOVE their pecan pie. Probably the best i have ever had so far. My server Carol was an absolute gem. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming and attended to our needs in a timely manner. We didn’t know that the restaurant closed at 8pm (google said it closes at 10), and even then Carole was very patient and did not make us feel rushed. I hope she gets recognized for her hard work (: definitely my go-to location!
Stopped at this location as we have many times before as we really enjoy the food. Unfortunately this visit the rotisserie chicken was in my opinion overly cooked, it was dried in spots and the skin was rubbery. My wife had ordered the New crispy chicken and a few minutes later we were told they were out of stock on this menu item, Not good.! This was supper time wait staff should already be informed of shortages so they can convey this to their guests. Not sure if we go back to this location.
I ordered yesterday two meals for delivery one had the bread and the second one did not had any bread.I called the restaurant to tell them that.and they did send a bread but I did expect to have some fries as a forgiveness.And the Person who talk to me on the phone she was very rude.
