We went for lunch today. Got a lunch box. I was surprised about price, was very reasonable and great value before.But no more… so same as other JP restaurants. Well, they have parking, taste is okay. So overall .. okay.
Really nice little hole in the wall Japanese restaurant. Lots of variety for lunch specials and lots of good sushi options. I got the ton katsu lunch specials and an order of the dynamite sushi. Left very satisfied.
Got two lunch set menus.The katsu pork was good. The rolls were average.The mini chirashi don lunch set was a bit disappointing. The sashimi that came with the Don were very small pieces. The udon tasted good and was a very good portion. Good service and clean.
Casual place with cold Asahi on draft and lots of yummy sushi and side dishes. The special spicy scallop roll and the yam tempura rolls were our favorite.
Perhaps the best compliment one could make of this restaurant is that this is exactly the sort of place you would expect if you were to go to a traditional food establishment in Japan. The focus is clearly on the high quality of the food, served in the respectful and eye-pleasing manner seen a million times on the internet. This no-nonsense approach is timeless and tasty, which is why we will continue to go there again and again.
Cute little Japanese restaurant with great food and service. I’ve been coming for years and glad they survived Covid! Their dishes have a Japanese homemade feel to it and everything tastes great! Fish is always fresh and they always have specials. I love coming for their lunch specials which gives you a great variety of food to try at a set price!
I had Hell Ramen… The broth was really good except there weren’t enough toppings for this portion. The pork was too dry.It was fast however the waitress who served me didn’t seem happy when serving people.
The food was absolutely delicious. Best Japanese food I’ve had outside of Japan. The restaurant is small and cozy which adds to the experience! Prices are very affordable and the portions are great. Service was fast and the workers are very friendly. 10/10- will definitely make this place my go to Japanese spot!
Great ramen and sushi. One of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Calgary if not all of Alberta. They serve Japanese beer and a large assortment of Sake as well. Place is a little small but atmosphere is amazing, it's just as if you are in Japan. You might eant to make reservations during dinner time. The ramen isn't the greatest but the soba and upon beef noodle soup is best!
This is always our family’s favorite restaurant. Quality of all food they prepare is done right. I’m from Japan and I also have Japanese restaurant in Canada but I have to say all food they make here is something I want to imitate and learn. Some here mentioned about price but I don’t think the price is not issue at all. Good service and fast. They should keep making what they make and how they prepare, don’t care about how some here review. Understanding everyone has different preference but as I know Japanese food from Japan, I have to say this is top 3 Japanese food I experienced in Canada in 23 years. Arigatou!
