Me and my partner ate here back in 2017, we loved it.2022 we celebrated my mom's birthday, group of 13 hungry adults + 5 energetic kids. It was close to full seating on a Tuesday night.Staff were nice,Service was fast,Location is good,Ample parking,Clean washrooms,This is definitely on our lists of restaurants to eat in again.
Website cheats you with nice sushi pictures that has nothing to do with reality. Restaurant smells bad, salad is old and smells bad, sushi is nothing special at all, BBQ seafood we ordered they got us the stomach parts of salmon full of bones nothing to eat. Only 2 waiters serving all tables. They throw plates to your table with wet hands dripping into your food. All this plus being expensive.

Amazing japanese and korean food overall. All you can eat with wide variety of sushi, meat and other delicious stuff for the money you pay. If you dont want to cook it, you have the option of having it cooked in the kitchen. Seating time and getting the food to the table are the downside since this place is pretty packed most of the time. Definitely call to reserve when eating here for dinner. Another downside is the parking since it is shared with other business but this place is a MUST VISIT.
The fact every employee I saw there still wearing a mask even though the indoor mask mandate has been lifted tells me the high likelihood of the employer is in violation of the employee's human rights. These misguided measures still threaten the democratic value that differentiates Canada from a Totalitarianism regime. Masks do not contain the virus, if it does, why are people still wearing masks 2 years later? Life poses all kinds of risks, much like driving a car on a highway, but we don't stop driving because of it, because we know it poses no immediate danger. And to have a private business acting like they are their employee's doctor is overreaching of the employee's bodily sovereignty. Please stop it, give back the employee's right to "breathe freely" that belongs to them, stop coercing employees, that is NOT the WAY to love anyone's neighbour. Pretty great sushi! Takeout is pretty quick. Most booths have nice secluded spots inside. Service isn’t bad and most evenings it’s busy so that’s a good indicator as a restaurant!
If I could give it a 4.5 I would,Overall, the food here is very good for all you can eat in the city, especially for its price point. The lighting is nice, and the grill is definitely great. The service was nice and the seating isn’t too cramped.The only real problem with the place is that it’s really crowded. The noise is quite loud so I couldn’t hear my friends super easily, and it took a while to be seated (even when we reserved a table well in advance). In addition, it might be difficult for some people to get quality service because of how busy it is.
This restaurant just sent out a meal delivered by skip the dishes. Weird balls of rice under the Tuna instead of normal sushi size. And more strangely, they sent vinegars for the tempura shrimp that was watered down. Really lousy for a $50 meal. Shame on you Sushi BBQ. You know better.
We've always had service from ok to now excellent. This place is improving everytime we visit. I went there today with my family. The wait wasn't bad. The food was excellent! my favourites are the chop chop, oyster motoyaki, and tempura ice cream. Yes, the tempura ice cream is doughy but that's the way I like it! They are always busy but did an excellent job serving the 3 of us today. Thank you for the excellent dinner tonight.
