We had 3, 20, and 42 and enjoyed everything. The crispy spring rolls (3) are rice paper and absolutely delicious- not to mention a very reasonable portion size! The rare beef soup (20) was delicious as well and not too salty. Very clean and lovely staff and atmosphere inside- we will definitely be back and telling our friends!
Finally came to check this place out for lunch on a Sunday. We ordered the pork and shrimp tapioca dumpling in banana leaves wrapping, a #14 rare beef, flank, and tendon pho, and a combo #1 vermicelli with spring rolls, charbroiled pork, etc.The tapioca dumpling was a first-try for us. It was nice and soft, definitely a signature of this restaurant. There is also ones without the banana leaves for people who don't like the taste of them left on the tapioca. The soup base was tasty and came out hot. Our favourite was the combo since it had quite a lot of toppings. The spring rolls were super yummy and crispy, definitely get them in a combo vermicelli or as an appetizer. Our friend ordered a coffee but was disappointed that it did not come with the traditional drip with the cup like other Vietnamese restaurants. It just came in a takeout cup although the taste was ok.Overall, it was a great experience dining here.
The vast majority probably come here for bun bo hue so I had to try. It was good but not great. Also had the rare beef lime which was more of a hit than the soup.
Awesome hearty traditional Vietnamese food. Great quality, fast but friendly and reliable service. I've done dine in and take out many times in the last few years and had consistently great experiences every single time. Will definitely be back!
Fantastic lunch location on the North East! The order came in mere minutes and everything was fresh and well prepared! The menu is priced very low, especially for the large portions and high quality ingredients!5 Stars, and I will go back again and again!
Picked up carry out and most items ordered were pretty good. The pho broth is on the sweeter side. With that said, the bum bo hue broth is also sweeter since it seems they use the method of pho broth as the base. Was excited to see the tapioca dumplings in the app section. A fish sauce was forgotten for one of the vermicelli bowls, which completely changes the dish, but otherwise it was a good stop!
As someone who loves Vietnamese noodles, the wait time at this store is very long. The waiter told me that my turn would be 15 minutes. In fact, I waited outside for 1 hour and 15 minutes. And I am a person, not a group. The store also doesn't like our personal visits during peak hours. Ended up leaving because the waiting time was too long. I hope the store owner will tell me if it is too busy and tell me in advance not to waste time waiting.
I’ve kept coming back for their signature #8, with chicken instead of beef. Great soup, great blend of veges instead of the boring bean sprouts, always cooked right rice noodles!! Soup and noodles are separately packed, and I still get quality food when I get home. Girls at reception are superb, always get my orders right xD
Relatively busy location, we visted around lunch time and had to wait for around 30 minutes for a table to open up (granted we were a group of 5).It was worth the wait however as the food here was good, but what caught me was that it was rather inexpensive for the portions we received. Great place if you'd like some Vietnamese food.
Been going here since they had their old location on 17th ave. As a Vietnamese person trust me when I say it’s really good and authentic Vietnamese food. Our favorites are the bun Bo hue and bun hen!
