So, a co-worker of mine's electric bike rear tire wheel was stolen right in front on the Royal Oak Sobeys front entrance. This was on Sunday evening on July 17th, 2022. This happened within 15 minutes when she was inside the store shopping. The bike was secured (locked) so the thieves decided to steal the rear wheel. Unbelievable! The replacement cost for the wheel is over $400 plus parts. My co-worker was pretty upset so I called the store today on her behalf to just find out if someone saw something etc. I was transferred to a gentleman (won't mention his name). I just wanted to find out if they have surveillance cameras. After the conversation, I had the feeling that the store doesn't care. The staff member I spoke to was very defensive and unsympathetic. I sure hope he is not the store manager. I shop there a lot and now am also worried about the security of my vehicle while in there shopping. You would think the store would at least be sympathetic and show some concern. Not this guy I spoke to. It felt like he just wanted to get me off the phone as if I was wasting his time. There is no surveillance camera system at the moment. I don't think I will be shopping there anymore, not because I believe that this won't happen anywhere else, but for the simple fact that the store was unsympathetic to their customer after this incident occurred on their property. Please make sure your vehicle doors are locked and don't bring your bikes to this store.
The Starbucks Staff are the kindest people on the planet! They are friendly, fast, efficient, and always make my drink the way I like it. All of the baristas are so great and they all bring a different kind of spice to the table. They are so accommodating and always make me feel like family, they even know me by name at this point. Well Done, 10/10!
Had an amazing experience at checkout. Shareena provided exceptional service in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner. Additionally, she did an amazing job packing my groceries, nothing was squashed. Keep up the good work!
Was in line at Starbucks, 4 staff (2 Starbucks and 2 Sobeys) kept talking away, one of them saw me (Tall Caucasian sobeys guy with long-ish dirty blonde hair), but didn’t bother letting the others know to take my order, kept talking. I was waiting for at least 5 minutes until they took my order. And even longer for my drink to be ready due to the chatter.
Favorite little grocery store. It is quite small, but you're in and out. Clerks are young, fast, and friendly.
I don’t go to Sobeys often because of their high prices but popped in today for 4 items. I got to the cashier and there’s a sign that they no longer accept Apple Pay. Since I ditched my purse and wallet some time ago that excludes me from ever shopping there again. Good old Sobeys heading back to the 1970s I guess. I wonder if Safeway has done the same. Poor cashier apologized and said Sobeys loses money if they accept Apple Pay!!
Always great service from all of the staff here. Matt at customer service is always super friendly and helpful! Thanks so much!
Great grocery store prices are competitive and produce and meat selections seem quite fresh
Love the staff here, always so friendly! Convenient to have a post office in store, too.
Great store. Always makes you feel comfortable shopping mask free.
