We decided to try out this place for lunch as I wanted ramen, and they have good reviews. The gyoza was interesting, as it was pan fried with a thin batter so they stuck together with a crispy skin when cooked. The sashimi was not great. It was cut thin and into different shapes and sizes. I found the broth for my ramen on the salty side and lacked depth, which was disappointing. There were only two staff running the restaurant. Considering how small the place is and how few tables there are, service was non-existent, and we had to constantly wave the waiter over as he liked to be on his phone. Prices are lower compared to other ramen restaurants though, which is a plus.I would rate them 2.5 stars, and based on our experience, we would rather go elsewhere instead.

Update: Came here again and had the Tantanmen and the Mazesoba. The Tantanmen still has quite the kick to it, while the Mazesoba was pretty flavourful. Got a free scoop of tiger ice cream to help cool us off after our food.A great place to grab some ramen, especially on a cool day. The Tantanmen really hits the spot and warms you up with a good kick of spice. The best part is the free scoop is strawberry ice cream we got after our meal which helped to cool off our mouth. Definitely worth trying if you in the neighbourhood. Free one hour street parking out front from Monday to Saturday. They also have parking in the rear available.

Today was my first time here and the food is amazing! my partner and I plan to make regular visits!

My family’s a favorite restaurant!! KatsuCurry is the BEST. So yummy! ?

Great place for Ramen, one of my favorites in Calgary, I've tried about half of their menu so far and the food is outstanding. The staff is very kind and you can see the passion they have for their food! Can't recommend enough.

Food is so good here. The place is small and hard to park around but still worth going to, even though I live very far. Their portions are a little small for me (maybe I eat a lot lol) but their price reflects their size so I would say the portions are approriate for the cost. Me and my boyfriend usually get a dish each and then share one, so the price is still almost the same as eating somewhere else with bigger portions that are more expensive. I love coming here if I'm ever in the area

Great price for the selection of Japanese entrees. The tonkatsu comes with miso soup and a small salad for $13. The parking situation is not ideal. There is no parking in the plaza, only street parking.

My family and I usually come here for lunch and dinner. Our favorite is ramen and katsudon. Everything is really good; the portion is generous and the price is affordable. Highly recommend.

My go-to spot. Amazing food, reasonable price. Probably one of the best Japanese Restaurant I've ever tried in Canada!

I've been here a couple times and have always had friendly service, excellent food and have never been able to finish a full bowl of ramen because the portion is so large. One word of warning- accessibility to the restaurant can be challenging, if you're in a wheelchair, due to the raised, bricked sidewalk in front.
