Amazing food and amazing experience. Owners and staff were very friendly and kind, we felt happy and comfortable.This restaurant has a very unique setting!Table for 2, we ordered, 1 Sizzling cheese with pita bread, seafood platter for 2, and the caramel cream dessert.You can taste the freshness, quality and love made into their food. Not a speck of food was left on our plates!We will be back to try the rest of the delicious menu!(Make a reservation! We got lucky as a walk-in)
We had just arrived in Calgary and saw Santorini Greek Tavern was rated very high on Trip Advisor. We love Greek food and had not eaten that kind of food in 2 years. We walked 30 minutes each way from our downtown hotel to have dinner and had a wonderful evening. The moussaka was delicious and just like we remembered when we were in Athens. Very friendly staff, quaint atmosphere.
We were a little disappointed after reading the reviews. We were expecting a high quality Greek meal, and we've had quite a few of them in other restaurants. This was just average perhaps a bit below. The serving sizes are small and it is fairly expensive for the portion sizes you get. Substituting Greek salad cost you $4 and you get a very small amount. We asked for a side of Tzatziki which cost us $7! I don't mind paying for a quality meal but this was definitely not worth the value.
Me and my sister love their sea bass dish and the hot appetizer platter. We love the flavors and they are very delicious. We felt satisfied after finishing our meals because of the generous servings they have on their foods. Not just for feeding our eyes because of the beautiful presentation, but because of how tasty and the amount of the food we had.
Came in for dinner with my girlfriend and her dad. Even though it was pretty busy, service was very fantastic! The portions are big, very worth the menu prices. Our server was exceptional! I'd recommend calling ahead if you're heading this way, and don't let the exterior deter you. Everything about this restaurant is great!
I have walked past this restaurant for years and decided to try it today. They were so accommodating to our large group short notice. The service was so friendly and really felt like old friends atmosphere. The food was amazing especially the lamb. I haven’t had such tender lamb for a while . The appetizers was delicious. I highly recommend everyone to try it! Must try the dessert next time! I look forward to visiting again!
Easily the best Greek restaurant in Alberta. My second time eating here, this time with a large group of business colleagues they accommodated wonderfully. The food is spectacular! Authentic Greek dishes made with love. A wonderful old-school family owned restaurant with first rate service. The ambience is fun Greek decor and music. Even on a cold prairie day, you can feel the warm sun of Cyprus here. Pro tip: the roast lamb is to die for. And go for the Taverna tasting menu, but being a big appetite!

Very descent restaurant with a traditional Greek menu, I recommend it for Lamp meat lovers. Also, I like their special.
Had been a number of years since last in the restaurant. Atmosphere remains true to the culture of the theme as does the food. Only complaint was that the music is so loud, that the lower section of the restaurant feels like an echo chamber. Staff were able to seat us in the upper section which was much more comfortable sound wise. Unique and tasty meal with friendly staff in a wonderful setting. The noise may not impact others but was notable for myself. All other aspects of the time here met or exceeded expectations. Good value in regards to meal cost.
