A family dinner for 7 - somewhat picky eaters ("can you add this and remove that?") on a busy Saturday night is not a recipe for smooth sailing. Saltlik handled us like a champ. Service was excellent - shout out to Shannah for managing to keep the orders straight - deliver them in the right sequence to the right people prepared the right way - with a smile - well, we were impressed. (And I bet Shannah was exhausted.) We had the French onion soup - Tomato + Burrata Crostone - Wagyu Carpaccio - and other odds and sods for starters - then steaks - Prawn Spaghettini - Spicy Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and so on. Everything was well done - no misses on the list. The only negative is the predominance of Brussels Sprouts on the menu - a food item I was pretty sure was outlawed by the Geneva Agreement "Some Food is Really Awful." Great job, Saltlik team - end to end.
We reunited with a friend who recently moved to calgary and decided to celebrate at Saltlik. Shane made our night extra special as our waitress. She was both utterly professional, savvy with the menu, flavours and wine advice and friendly and welcoming. We had the impression to be in a trendy high quality restaurant, able to accommodate the junior 9 year old in our group as well as the adult palates. A really special night !
Turned up on a Friday night without a reservation, the staff were phenomenal and found me a table. Food was amazing, will definitely visit again.
Had a business dinner here with a group. I gave an average rating based on value. The food was fine and the service good but the food was not, in my opinion, worth the cost. Also found beer selection disappointing as nothing on tap in the area of the restaurant in which we were seated.
We are steak people - we have tried Modern Steakhouse, Hy's, Caesars etc. While they all have good points, SaltLik is THE place in our opinion. The steaks are the most flavourful of them all. To top it off, we love the lobster potatoes that are just awesome. The service is pretty impeccable as well. A nice warm, leather modern interior that is cozy and welcoming. Great cocktails and wine list. Just wish they had different prosecco Location is easily walkable from anywhere downtown.
Great place. You must try the calamari. One of the best I've ever tried. And the dessert, all were sublime.
You must try their fillet.
Best filets and service is good. Manager came to check on us and made sure the food was good. Try cappuccino and calamari.
What an unexpected dining experience at Saltlik especially in a game night. ? We stayed at the nearby hotel and just googled for a restaurant for a dinner, Saltlik just pop up. So, we just wentIt's a joyful dining experience..we had a glass of great beer and 3 awesome starters. We ordered only a main dish to share with and the service staff had the food into a sperated plate..such a nice & thoughtful action.? The sirloin was tender & delicious... It's a great restaurant worth to revisit.?
Online reservation was easy to book. The hostess was inviting and prompt with our arrival. We were seated quickly and didn't have to wait. We were offered waters while we looked over the menu and the water was brought over very quickly. Severs were on top of making sure we had everything we needed and our drinks weren't sitting empty. She also managed to check in frequently without being overbearing or interrupting (always a balancing act, as a server I know the struggle).The bathroom was gorgeous and so clean. Definitely wasn't expecting a bathroom that was so nice and inviting. Probably sounds weird but it was a pleasant surprise so I thought I'd mention it in the review.The food was top notch. Flavours were perfect, portion size was good, steak was cooked perfectly. And the brussel sprouts? Omg I'll forever dream of those between visits.
