We stopped by for Vietnamese subs and had an awesome experience. The staff were really friendly and attentive, the food came out quickly, and the subs were delicious (especially the beef). We weren't expecting such generous portions for the low price (cheaper than a big mac meal) either. We all left full and happy, even my mother who had never enjoyed a vietnamese sub in the past.
My husband and I always go to Saigon Maxim. We’ve been here for lunch and dinner and we’ve tried dining in, pick up and delivery. The owner is very hospitable and friendly, so is Ting, who we always see there. Both her and the owner always have smiles on their faces and are very quick to greet you. Their pho is definitely one of a kind and I always crave it (I always get #21). My husband gets either #86 chicken curry or #9 sub. Never have we experienced anything negative here so I always recommend Saigon Maxim to our friends and whoever asks which restaurant to go to This place is always packed whenever we come in so that says a lot about them. We recommend this restaurant 100%!
We got the stir fried prawns, chicken, beef and vegetable noodles- it was tasty and hit the spot! We also had the stir fried chicken, lemon grass and chilli which was flavorful and spicy but not so hot that you couldn't enjoy it. It was just the right amount of spiciness. Yum! Whenever I visit Calgary again this is on my list to get again.
Yummy Vietnamese food, good selection on the menu. Love the lobster tail in the satay soup and will go back to try the curry one soon. Price is very reasonable and a good first impression.
Such a great spot for Vietnamese food! The owner is very kind and personable. My family and I have never been dissatisfied with a dish, and we’ve been there many times. Wonderful spot for dining in or takeout. Great portions and very reasonably priced. Definitely check it out!
Saigon is the only Vietnamese you need! All of their dishes are super flavourful and come with huge portions, especially for the prices. The restaurant is clean and the service is wonderful. All staff members pitch in to make sure you get the best service. I've never waited long to get my food and each time, it is consistent with no changes.Some dishes to try: # 1 Deep Fried Pork Spring Rolls, #2 Chicken or Beef Salad Rolls, #9 Vietnamese Submarine Chicken or Beef (AMAZING and it is a full sub), #32 Vermicelli with Spring Rolls, #35 Vermicelli Charbroiled Chicken and Spring Rolls, #101 Curry Tofu Vegetable Soup with Vermicelli, and #24 Satay Veggie Noodle Soup (you can add chicken or beef).***If you order for delivery, it does take very long so maybe pick it up or head on into the restaurant and pop a squat.
I have eaten here for quite a few years and I am always happy to return. The food is great always fresh, the service is always great staff is very knowledgeable friendly fast and very efficient. I bring family and friends here for a wonderful dining experience. The place is always clean. What a pleasure to have this restaurant in my neighbourhood.

Great food but the Service lacked on the night we went. We arrived at the tail end of the dinner rush so some delays to be expected. Allegedly they were short staffed. We placed our order and the mains including appetizer arrived 40 minutes later. The bubble tea we ordered arrived after supper. Not sure what was going on but something needs to be addressed by the owners whether it’s staffing or lack of oversight. I believe the food was discounted for the inconvenience. Nonetheless a long time favourite and the food quality was 5 stars. The staff were polite just lacked direction.All n all we will be back.
