This Safeway is awesome, they make some custom things in the bakery I can’t find anywhere else in the city.The pharmacy is great, I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait in line and the staff is very knowledgeable about the drugs and any contraindications that may exist with your meds.The store staff is always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them for custom items from the bakery and also the pharmacy.
I liked the smaller old neighbourhood grocery feel - great Selection for meats on the Monday morning I was there - They even have a covered area with tables for patrons eating at the in store Deli.
Always come here. Good people that work here. Clean always.

I always love Safeway but this on was particularly clean and enjoyable. I was at a basketball ? tournament at seven cheifs sport plex and stop here to grab snacks and lunch. Lots of ready to eat choices (both healthy and less healthy) My family loved it.
I love getting cakes made at Safeway in Woodbine. I put a cake order in a few days in advance and had this amazing cake made. They do such a great job and it's always delicious. Very professional looking cakes for around $30. See my photos attached of the camping scene cake.
Zero waste means zero waste. I needed a new toothbrush, and was in the store, saw they sold zero waste ones so I got one while I was there. I don’t fully buy zero waste products, but I like to when I can. What bugged me about this, is when I got home, I saw that the supposedly zero waste toothbrush had plastic holographic ‘void’ tape on the edges, making the product no longer zero waste as these have to be trashed. I have bought this exact toothbrush before at the shoppers in the same plaza, and it doesn’t have this tape on the edges so I knew it was Safeways doing. The reason this makes me so mad as it feels like I’m being lied to, when I buy a specific product for a specific perk it claims to have, I expect it to completely fulfil that perk, and the fact that it didn’t because this Safeway chose to distrust customers sooooo much, makes me feel taken advantage of. I should’ve known this Safeway was greenwashing when I didn’t see a single recycling bin on site.
Smaller Safeway , very convenientfor the Woodbine neighborhood.Has a very good pharmacy in.
It seemed very hard to find a person to help me? The store wasn't busy so I wandered around for quite a while until I found most of the things I wanted.
