I've had the Royal Tea House's "House Milk Tea with Pearls". It's the best tasting milk tea of any bubble tea places in Calgary. My wife had one as well and she loved it. So, we decided to try some different drinks from this bubble tea place. This time we had the Mango Sago Coconut and Fresh Strawberry Peach Tea with popping Boba. Both are pretty good. The Mango Sago Coconut had fresh mangos and tapioca. You can definitely taste the coconut flavor with a hint of mango. The Strawberry Peach Tea had fresh strawberries in there. The Boba pearls are kind of interesting as it just pops on your tongue with slight pressure. But the fresh strawberries in the drink is nice and the drink itself is refreshing.All in all, the Royal Tea House in the Dragon City Mall is a great place to get your bubble tea fix. The Milk Tea is by far the best and they offer so many varieties of flavored teas for an extremely great price. Around $5 for a large cup - you can't beat that!
I have to say - I've tried lots of Bubble Tea places, especially from the big ones like Gong Cha. None of them were good. For the longest time, I really don't know what the hype is, especially when there's a lineup outside of Center Street downtown Chinatown in Calgary a couple of years ago for Gong Cha. I was so disappointed.Now in 2021, I got my first few tastes of the bubble teas and bubble fruit drinks at the Royal Tea House and I'm totally impressed! The regular bubble tea was tasty, the best I've had. I had the Peach Passion Fruit bubble and the Lychee Jelly versions as well. Wow, it was nice - not too sweet as it is natural flavors. My daughter had the Strawberry Bubble Tea and she said it was really nice with real strawberries. I also had the opportunity to try the Cheese Matcha with Red Beans. My God, that was so delicious!If it wasn't for the location of where this store is in the heart of Chinatown and in Dragon City Mall, I would be going there frequently. This pandemic definitely make it hard to go to the Royal Tea House since I'm working from home most days. I had a chance to talk to the owners and they're super nice and receptive to suggestions to improve. From the drinks I've had thus far, the Royal Tea House beats all the other bubble tea houses in Calgary! I really recommend anyone to try this place out.
I've heard some great things about this new Royal Tea House. It's in the main level of Dragon City Mall. I hardly go into the Dragon City Mall myself and it's been several years since I've been in that mall. So, when I heard about Royal Tea House having a great selection of milk teas and smoothies, I decided to check it out myself. Lucky I did. I ordered a Mango Strawberry Smoothie with Lychee topping. I saw the guy making the drink as he put in fresh strawberries and mangos in the ice mixture. I have to say, that was one great smoothie! It's got both sweet and sour taste mixed really well together! I'm totally satisfied with my smoothie craving. I also had their milk tea and I was happy with that too since I find the milk tea bubble drinks from other stores to be really bland. Royal Tea House will be my go to bubble tea and smoothie from now on! Thank You to the staff there!
The staff was very friendly and patient (I took my time to look at the menu) :) I ordered the royal milk tea and they made the original milk tea perfectly :) the bobas were not bland and the price was reasonable :)
Excellent! Great flavour quality and very wide selection. The bubble waffles were also very tasty. Definitely coming here again.
Very Friendly Service. Had the Peach and Lychee Green Tea with Tapioca. Absolutely delicious and refreshing. Highly recommend.

One of the best milk tea places, the cups for the milk tea are so smartly designed and look nice, the other drinks are also amazing and they usually have a random thing to buy that isn't related to drinks at all

The selection on their menu has a nice variety of flavors. I especially like how sturdy the cups are that they use; makes it easier to travel with on the go than the flimsy plastic cups at other places. You definitely get your money's worth.
