I'm a long time fan of this place. Been coming since I was a kid. My recent visits have been for dim sum. It's consistent and tasty IMO. I'm also a fan of their hot pot/buffet but haven't done that since Covid...not sure if it's still a thing. Service is quick and efficient.
The price of the foods wasnt that high, but the qualities were worse. Thats why they had No diners all night long.Roast duck was like someone leftovers, very dry, only few pieces of meat, and some were burnt.Chicken and dessert both tasted a weird sweetness.I ordered a blow of rice, the kitchen steamed a blow of crusty rice (the burnt of leftover rice) with cold water for me. Definitely won't go back anymore.
I had a chance to meet up with my Calgary fam for dim sum here, we met up in the early afternoon and the food was really good.I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for awesome food!
The place was very clean and lighting was very bright and efficient. The Food served was delicious and tasty in good portions at reasonable prices. Also have special prices for combination of Food purchases of dim sum and menu selection.Good place for eating dim sum and dinner with family and friends.
Quick and good service dim sum did not disappoint!
The restaurant wasn't very busy when we visited. You feel a bit like in a train station hall, maybe it was due to Corona... anyway, the staff was very attentive. We were in the mood for dim sum and the restaurant has a really good selection and everything we ordered was of good quality. In general, the choice of food is enormous. We were very happy with everything, including the price. We just paid 50 CAD for 2 people including drinks!
The quality of food was fair, however, I can not say the same about the service. The server brought us to a table which had not yet been cleaned and hardly wiped it after we sat down (my mom had to use the napkins and hot water to wipe it again). We waited for another 10 mins without the ordering card, it wasn't until I flagged down another server before anyone acknowledged us. When the food starting arriving, they either had mixed ups or forgot the accompanied sauces, and lastly left the HOT lid to the clay pot on ... Services are hit or miss at Chinese dim sum places, I wasn't expecting 5 stars service, but this experience hit a new low.
The food is ok, but the customer service is horrible (except for Peter who is just absolutely wonderful). Today I decided to order out Dim Sum and one item that I ordered was D35 Turnip Cake. When I picked up the order D35 Turnip Cake became D31 Curry Squid. How does that even happen? So I had the item removed. I would have let this go at that but the current manager (whose name I didn't get) decided to lecture me about this. Really? How about learning to take orders correctly?
I've eaten here several times, most recently this past Saturday.Wonderful food and service! We ordered a bunch of dim sum items, all delicious and hot. And the service is friendly and efficient - all the servers are very nice.
It has been a number of years since either of us came here and we were rather disappointed in our lunch. They seated everyone in a corner of the restaurant with no partitions, which made us feel a little uncomfortable. The service was ok, but the food wasn't too good.Firstly, they only have one type of tea, which was very surprising for a dim sum place. Some of the dim sum was passable, but others not so much. The bean curd rolls were stuffed with canned mushrooms, chicken feet could have been more tender, Shanghai steamed dumplings were bland, and the baked BBQ pork pastries were too salty. They do have a fairly large menu which is nice, but we've definitely had better dim sum at other restaurants.
