Very friendly staff and atmosphere. They were even able to substitute tofu as I have an egg intolerance. Seems to be a popular place, and good food was had.
Brits holidaying in Canada looking for typical breakfast. Came here as it was close to where we were staying. Arrived at about 11.30am it was really busy & was asked if we had booked. We hadn't as we never realised we should have but they took our phone number & said they would text in about 1/2 hour when a table was ready, they were as good as their word.We returned & both ordered Red's original breakfast plus a side of tomato.It was delicious, very filling & served hot. It was also the best cup of tea we had drunk whilst on our 2 week holiday around Alaska & Canada. Our iced water was replenished without having to ask.Prices are very fair & service was OK seeing as how busy they were & they offer a good selection. Would definitely recommend but book in advance as they are very popular.
Here on a Monday for some brunch and it was busier than usual for a weekday but still great service. Lots of room to sit but on the weekends they do get very busy so come early. Great food and friendly service. Clean restaurant and really cool country meets modern day theme.
It’s been a minute since we’ve visited Red’s for brunch, and like always, the service was wonderful. The Pacific Benny (my fave) never disappoints. They serve all day breakfast and have many locations through the city.
This is one of my favourite breakfast places I've ever been to; it reminds me of simpler times and the importance of slowing life down just a little bit. Thank you so much for your hospitality and the fantastic all-day breakfast.Edit: I updated my review to add another star. I have recently been reminded of how much I miss this place. Red's is heads and shoulders above a lot of the other places.
Great weekend brunch spot! They really have their system on lock, we showed up at 11 on a Saturday and there was a table available. After we ordered food came out right away and our server never let our coffee cups get empty. They definitely turn over fast, which is great as you likely never have to wait even at super busy times. Because of that I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for something more leisurely, but I like to be in and out quick at breakfast so I appreciate the speediness!Montreal smoked meat hash is amazing, a little pricey but I ended up taking most of it home so definitely great value for two days of food! Husband got the brie and bacon benny, which he said was also good but he wished it had more brie. But hey, cheese prices are stupid rn so it made sense. Hashbrowns and hollandaise were really good too. they have Valentina and Frank's on the tables so you get your pick of hot sauces. Will be going back!
Great quality food and service. I love that there's hot sauce, ketchup, salt and pepper at every table. The restaurant has one accessible washroom on the main floor and gendered washrooms down a flight of stairs. The restaurant entrance may not be wheelchair accessible because it has one step before the door.
Delicious! ⬅️ my review 3 Years ago!March 2022 new review ➡️ Right from the beginning I was already impressed with the passion and speed that this kids put my breakfast together as I normally seat at the bar to take a closer look on how the kitchen goes but, the second that the chef put the sauce on top of my food, ohhh.. Gosh... I literally melted in my seat. The chef knows well what it means when it comes to make the client eat with their eyes first; by the time I got my plate I was almost half full already coz from the distance I was having a feast with my eyes while my mouth was tasting all the eye size bites. True enough, as I asked for the waitress to surprise me, she did an amazing job. Congrats Red's Diner on 4th... in my review you get 5 stars for Calgary's Best Breakfast Diner in 2022.
Went for a late brunch it was quite busy, and we saw two seats at the counter. Which is exactly where we wanted to be. We enjoyed coffees and water while we checked the menu. I ordered the Reds big breakfast and she had the Red original. I would have taken a photo but I was starving. It was fantastic. They have an amazing selection in meals, not to mention some for the hair of the dog. Big groups may have trouble getting a spot, it is worth the effort to go. Might not be so motivating in the winter. As a first timer, I look forward to trying it again.
Nice diner. Huge portions. Chai latte was amazing. Good and quick service.
