I loved it, will definitely be back ??
If you love seafood you’ll love the pelican! Only had authentic fish n chips once in the uk but it was enough to start craving it here all the time so thank god for pelican pier cus they got the closest in terms of taste. There right next to my apartment complex so we walk over and enjoy the food any time the urge hits. Always quality food with quality service!!! ?
Best fish and chips in Calgary if you like thin batter!!!! I prefer thin batter 100% more as it feels much less greasy. Great hand cut fries, which are lovely with tartar sauce. Awesome friendly and professional servers. What more could you ask for?
Local spot that was filled with the reggies. I was surprised how many kept coming in on a constant for how small it is. The service was awesome for one person handling everyone with patience and kindness.Salmon was a big portion for a good price.I’d say a definite spot to hit up coming out the airport .Joereaf MIACW
This place is a hidden gem. The food is amazing! Their fresh fish melts in your mouth and the coating is nice and light. The seafood chowder is packed with delicious shrimp and fish. Be sure to order dessert as the key lime pie is made in house and is literally the best pie I have ever eaten. The decor is lovely and there is a nice cozy feel. The staff are really friendly too.
Is this the best restaurant in all of Calgary? Absolutely. The service was out of this world, we had the sweetest server and the fish and chips were AMAZING. Our server said she forgot to ring in our food right away, but we didn’t even notice a longer wait for our meals. She insisted on us having a dessert on the house. The decor is 10/10 perfect tacky-charming and makes me feel like I’m at a beach boardwalk. We were the youngest people in there by about 20 years, but the boomers know what’s up when it comes to good service, so we knew it was going to be amazing. We weren’t wrong! We just left and I cannot wait until we go back!
Amazing little place , felt like home for my other half as he's from the sunshine coast. Halibut was to die for and the coconut shrimp was the best I've ever had ( for alberta haha ) Amazing selection of fresh and frozen seafood , great priced as well.
More like Treasure Pier! These guys make the best seafood I’ve ever had this far away from the ocean, the staff also treat me and my little girl like family. Breaded scallops and coconut shrimp is what I started with for first few orders (The captains combo) - but then I started exploring their other items and me and the wife did a solid month and a half of fish tacos maybe 3 times a week ? -My favourite soup these days is their SEAFOOD chowder I usually grab one of those to take home- Then they have different types of fish and chips if your into the usual seafood classics but I rather their chicken sandwich or just eat three orders of salad in one sitting that usually works too- ( the in-house salad dressing made with love)One thing I would change is I wish there was more ability to add-on extra scallops to a meal instead of its own independent meal and I would like to see more crab and lobster outside of special seasons. 10/10 still coming here regularly and recommend to anyone either looking to get into seafood or someone who wants a reliable fish joint that’s always open!
Had a delightful lunch experience. Delicious food, genuine hospitality and themed decor. My breaded oysters and fish tacos came promptly, fresh and hot. Will definitely come back and try some dinner items next time.
Got the trio fish with salad. Good flavour and light batter. Also go breaded oyster and crab cakes. They were okay. The coconut shrimp was better. The server was friendly.
