Best cakes and Pastry in the City. Funny Story. I bought 2 Vanilla Log cakes today One for My dearest Sheena's 40th and one for Denise. Sheena was so happy to receive this gorgeous cake and Denise was not home...arg..and wont be until Monday. arg! So Calgary Throncliffe FireFighters got her cake. Hopefully That brings in some HOT new Business. hahaha. Cheers.
I first started ordering from this baker about 2 years ago. They make an amazing German Chocolate cake.We have since ordered from here many times and it is always the place we turn to when we have company coming or are taking dessert somewhere.I was surprised to have found such a posh little bakery in the middle of the burbs.
An usual pastry oasis far from the usual haunts where I would expect such a place (like Beltline, downtown, Maria Loop, Inglewood, etc). I really don't have to say too much as their pics speak well for themselves. Their rolled cakes are simply a combination of elegance, coolness and bright sweet nirvana that would happily thrill any diner and (especially) foodie alike. They cater to so many, and do retail offerings in a glorious manner as their macarons easily display. AgIn its in a bit of an unusual location, but a trip to both simple and complexe flavors that are well worth the journey.
I've ordered cakes here on a few occasions, years apart, and the quality is always there. They have amazing flavors and decorate their cakes beautifully. Most importantly, the taste and texture is impeccable.Their customer service is always great and they will try to accommodate most requests. Highly recommend!
One of my gfs had the cake ordered for her birthday and i was so impressed by the beauty and expertise put into the cake. Seriously, it was thee cake I've ever had in my life!!!! Highly recommend
Many of the items they offer such as lemon tarts and cream puffs are available at other bakeries but they do have something I haven't seen elsewhere: Hot Chocolate Bombs. They are filled with marshmallows and come in various flavours like Irish Cream. You just add a cup and a half of warm milk and watch them melt releasing tasty flavored chocolate that you stir in and enjoy.
Pre-order and pickup for Christmas treats went smoothly without unreasonable delay or hitch. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive to my transaction.The Yule log was delightful to look at--what with everything being edible and delicious--and it was sweetened appropriately to have non-sweet-tooth members wondering for more. Would not be surprised if Christmas treats from here becomes an annual thing, and their regular offerings of macaroons, roll cakes, individual pastries, etc do not become a special day treat throughout the year.
They are making delicious cakes and pastries. They also have friendly customer service and accommodating of requests. I tried one if their pastries and they very accommodating to make a cake out of it for me which is not on their manu.
Ordered a birthday cake here for the first time, it was very good and not excessively sweet. Wide variety of flavors available, will definitely come back! Recommended!
