My daughter & I love the Calgary Farmers Market and we often meet up with family on Saturdays. Today we were alone but hungry. She decided on ramen from the Oishidesu Ramen Shack. She ordered the Kamikazi ramen dish. I found a table right beside the restaurant. While sitting there, I saw they had Goyza and several other dishes for $5. I love goyza so I had my daughter order them for me. They gave her an electronic pager which is so handy as you usually have to hunt for a seat. The order was ready quite quickly. The soup smelled so good, I did ask for some! The broth was rich and creamy. Yum! The goyza was really crispy on the outside while the inside was absolutely delish! We both loved them. Next time we go to the market, we decided to try some of their 'snack' dishes for 5$ each. But for sure a order goyza EACH!! Thanks we enjoyed our lunch.The reason there is a picture of an empty bowl is because we were so hungry and it was so good!! :)
This was absolutely the most disgusting Ramen my wife and I have EVER had.. we honestly threw out our whole order!! HUGE MISTAKE!! NEVER AGAIN. The food tastes awful, no flavour, and the after taste was disgusting. Honestly, you $1.00 shin ramen at superstore would taste A LOT BETTER. This is just our review, you may think differently but we won't be ordering from here again...$
Let's just say that my bowl of broth, noodles and veggies took 20 minutes - at a food fair - in a market. My other two family members had ordered, received their food and finished eating before I got mine. Too long and not really worth the wait.
Honestly this place is not good ramen. I have had lots of ramen and decided to order from here to try it. Not very flavourful, beef is way over cooked to the point that it’s like rubber, and very little broth given. I think I can make much better ramen at home. Hopefully they can get better than what I got because it was extremely disappointing
I decided to go to The Calgary Farmers' Market today! First time being there, a lot bigger than it appears from the outside! Glad I went, because I stumbled upon this gem! I decided to get the SUMO Ramen, and let me tell you, hella worth the $15! I’m not big on the thick noodles but these were super good and the broth, omg the broth!!! Sooooo rich and packed full of flavour! I will be back for sure!
I have been trying ramen all over Calgary and this is one of the very best! Don’t mind the humble food court vibe, the food is worth a try.
Lukewarm, flavourless broth, soggy flavourless tofu, and the noodles aren’t even ramen noodles. Easily the worst ramen I’ve ever paid for.
I was pretty excited about this, especially reading the reviews about it but i was somewhat disappointed. The bowl I got was the first one on the menu. Kazimake.1.) Broth is great! The best part!!2.) Meat was good but wished it was marinated and had more flavor3.) Mushroom was a good touch.Noodles was the one that threw everything out the window.Overall, it was a good experience. ?
